[Fink-users] Can't install evolution
Hi, I've been trying to install evolution and the compilation has failed over package libsoup-ssl. [Fink-users] Which e-mail client to use?
Hi again, I'm looking for advice for the choice of an email program to use. I am a very happy mutt user (since I learned the existence of msmtp for sending mail through a smtp server). I use imap so that my email is stored on my mail server and I can access it from anywhere. However, I do not currently have a dsl connection at home and don't know if I will be able to get one in a long time. Hence I use dial-up to check my e-mail from home. The problem with mutt is, it downloads the messages' headers every time it is launched, which on a dial-up connection takes a very long time. I am therefore looking for an e-mail client that keeps a local copy of the messages, so it only downloads new messages when I check my mail, AND uses imap to leave messages on the server. Mozilla mail does this, but I find it has some buggy behaviors. Is there another email client having all those requirements ? (I add that I do not run gnome or kde, which makes kmail unusable for me) Cheers, Clemence -- Ce qui se concoit bien s'exprime clairement. - http://www.crea.polytechnique.fr/personnels/fiches/magnien.htm 01 55 55 86 27 --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Yahoo. Hi Michèle, thanks for replying. I have chosen yours simply because it was a short post. It happens with most posts. Practically I get everything doubled. I have seen this only recently (since last week or so). My previous other digests look normal. I can't believe it is because users here have changed habit: they must have been doing the very same even before, still I was not affected by this *double posting* look.
