A prayer said, and good thoughts. It sounds like it will be OK. I had a
friend who was highly active, but one day couldn't make it through a set of
tennis. Went to the doctor, they did the treadmill and angiogram within
days. He had *three* blockages AND is doing just fine now. That was only a
few months ago. It should come out fine - and you've got the odds beat by
choosing the right hospital.

Oh Sue!
I'm so sorry to hear about Richard. I have already said a prayer and hope
that he will recover quickly. I'm glad you have him in such a good
facility. My best wishes and prayers are with you both,

Jean in Fairbanks, Alaska remembering Thanksgiving 1994 when a good friend
went through the same thing, with a triple bypass, but is doing just great
now! He came home from Anchorage on Thanksgiving and I picked up his wife
and him at the airport in -45 degree weather, while their kids cooked the
Turkey dinner. It was a great Thanksgiving! (And they have Fjords, too)

Oh, and if you will be needing a Fjord to pull one of these, we can supply

Hello friends, Sheri here, Does anyone care to respond to my request for
advise concerning driving a 2 1/2 year old fjord named Redford (Regent),
he's a red fjord. He is already ground driving between 2 lines very nicely.
My hopes are to make him a therapeutic driving/riding horse for people who
have disabilities. I have read Heicke Beans book. It is very niceseveral.
I work with professional trainers, quarter horse people, and I have had
numerous appaloosa horses, but I have not driven yet. I have ridden for 9 +
years. Any advise would be appreciated. I read this digest everyday, like
you wouldn't believe. I believe that no one knows everything, but we each
have something to offer, no matter how much already know. Thanks ever so
much. sheri ps Redford is carrying me in the walk and trot for short
amounts of time and is very agreeable so far.

Surprise! 2 thanksgiving blessings

1999-11-24 Thread MinkHolow
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Well, we got 2 surprises today. 2 of my mares were starting to look a little
portly, so I had them ultrasounded and Hostar's a daddy (2X) more this year.
The surprise was that one is my competition horse Nessy. We bred her before
I decided to drive this year. In both cases ultrasounds etc..showed the
foals were being absorbed, or so we thought. In one case because of twins
the mare had absorbed it on her own and the last time we checked, it seemed
she was not pregnant. Wrong, she was! I knew Nessy was pregnant and was only
going to compete her through Gladstone this year. When she wasn't pregnant I
took her to Fair Hill Intermediate (20 Kilometer course) She came in in great
condition, low temp and pulse etc... The poor thing, she must be 5 months
alongWow, is that a testament to how tough these horses are. She is now
getting a well deserved rest poor girl! We received a letter saying Nessy
and I are longlisted for the US Equestrian Team in 'Combined Driving for the
world games in 2000 , because of our combined driving scores this year. What
they did not realize is Nessy is a pony and you Can't compete internationally
in the horse division. I was proud of her, this was her first year out. I
did however have to let the Driving Committee know she is a pony. I think the
mix up was because they had put Craig and I in the horse division a couple of
times this year, due to not enough ponies at that level. Oh, well there is
always next year. Happy thanksgiving to you and your fjords! Laura of Mink
Hollow Ps if anyone is interested we have revised our prices for a herd
reduction sale and they have been lowered substantially so take a look, they
should be accurate now http://www.norwegianfjordhorses.com Bye!

CD-L has about 80 secret santa's this year and one of the participants set up a
message board for clues so as not to clog up their already overflowing list (and
you think ours is busy!). I don't think we need one of those yet for FH-L, but
I thought a peek at the URL might give you some ideas!

P.S. I hope you all enjoy Thanksgiving and that Steve and I can go for a drive
before we eat too much turkey!
