no shipping. It's in the vitamin section.

Shari, sorry to hear of your accident. Why are you looking for a mare? I
have always thought the possibility for a steady horse was the gelding?
Mares have their days and may not be as consistent as a gelding> Jean
Gayle

Hi List,

If you viewed the Lorenzo 4.5 min video. I understand his horses in the
clip were all mares. A lot of people are discovering that mares are more
obedient. I think the bottom line is the quality, and the amount of
training that we put into our horses. In plain language, we don't spend
enough time in the process. Again, I will recommend the book by Chris
Irwin, "Riding with your Dark Horse" about $10 dollars from Amazon.

Several years ago when I was doing a lot of mountain pack trips [In Alaska]
I knew a lot of packers that would not have a mare in their pack string.
However, I have since changed my opinion on mares. That is, maybe they have
not been given a good chance,, one reason ,,,they were too busy foaling,
etc. They were deprived of training. I have certainly had my share of
injuries with horses. In every case, I blame myself.

My mother in law is one for every little sales multi-level-marketing
scheme that comes along, magnets, this suplement, that suplement,
anyhow, now she is a Xango rep. Anyhow, got to researching and you can
buy the same basic formula which is Mangosteen for about half the cost
thru other sources, like vitadigest, or vitacost, etc. Just do some
google research and you can save yourself a bunch of money. We bought
our first case from mother-in-law, but not since finding cheaper
sources. They might all have a slightly different additional additives,
like one may have mango added, one might have oranges or grapefruit or
yams or something, but the mangosteen is what your really looking for.

My wife is taking it now, and she seems to think it is making her feel
better in one way or another, possibly more energy, and less PMS
symptoms, we won't go there. Anyhow, even though she is my
Mother-in-law, and I really love her, I can't see spending $40-$60 more
a case on a pyramid style sales product when you can get the same
product for so much less elsewhere. Like Amway selling their $7.99
synthetic oil because it's better than Mobile-1 synthetic at $3.99 a
quart. Same oil. Do a little research and save yourself some money for
a new bridal or halter every couple months and get the same results.
And also look at the percentage of mangostine in the bottle, and the
quantity, some may be 22 oz's for more $ than others you get 30 oz
bottles, etc.

Hello from Carol Rivoire at Beaver Dam Farm in Nova Scotia --

Hey Patti Jo, Glad to hear of your experiences with Xango. -- I've
endured a lot of kidding about taking it and giving it to Champy (our
dog), but who can argue with success? -- As I said, I can't prove that
it's Xango that's doing us good, but the fact is that I have tons of
energy and no arthritis. And good old Champy is doing great on it plus
all the other supplements I give him.

You mentioned a friend with diabetes . . . Well, my sister also has
diabetes, and since going on the Xango juice, her blood sugar numbers
are almost normal. You can argue that it's expensive, but at a "shot"
a day, it actually is less expensive than Scotch, and is actually
therapeutic . . . but so is Scotch.

All of the supplements that I take and give to Champy and other
members of the family who will agree to try these things, are all the
same supplements found in any equine catalogue. I have a good horse
friend that I've just told about Xango. She's my age and has worked
really hard with horses all her life, and she has serious arthritis.
She's taking glucosamine, flax, MSM Omega 3s, etc. She credits all of
these things to keeping her oing. -- I hope she'll try the Xango, and
if it does, indeed, help her, that will go a long way toward proving
its worth.

A few months ago, I found the whole mangsteen fruits in our

Dear Pat,
I'm new to Fjords so thanks for the reminder. Our 2 geldings Alf & Val came
home to NJ in Sept.;one day in early Oct. I noticed that Alf seemed damp by his
chest even though he was standing there munching his hay and hadn't been worked
in any fashion.Being the over cautious nurse and new horse mom I took his
vitals and found his temp was 103.7! Called the vet and he was diagnosed and
successfully treated for erlichia; but that was quite a scare! I'm blessed that
the farm where we board is 1 1/2 miles from home so I can be over there 3to4
times a day.
On the xango;I also have arthritis; so I punched in mangosteen on google and
have ordered mine from Mike's; 114.95 for a case of 4 which includes shipping
and no tax. Looking forward to trying it to see if it makes a difference. Good
luck

I was recently reminded of something about our Fjords that those new to the
breed ought to know and those with them should remember.

They do not show illness like other breeds. This is a major fact - big time. I
can tell many many stories of Fjords that do not exhibit the extensive symptoms
of illness until they are very far along sick. They will continue to eat, and
sometimes the slightest of difference is only noted IF you know your individual
horse and his normal habits really well. They just take pain and discomfort
without the normal signs we see in other breeds.

This has probably been discussed before - but as a reminder with the really bad
weather out west, the odd winter of ups and downs here in the Midwest and east.

Now,..how do I get my hands on some of that XANGO
