Hello

We have two Fjords for sale and I was wondering if we could post the info on
the Fjord Registry or if only members can do so?
I have been receiving all the information listed on the Registry for several
years now.
Is there a certain person/Registry email I need to contact?

Just wondering . . . . let me know . . .
Thank you,

Hello

Do you have pictures?

We have 3 Fjords in our program and just love them.

I am looking for a Fjord of my own.
We have a dressage club here and I would love to be able to attend some of the
clinics, etc..
I would also like to do some trail riding.

Can you tell me how much you are asking for him and where you are located?

Thank you,
Carol

RE: Fjord

This message is from: Carol Pastore <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

We just recently had two fjords donated to our therapeutic riding program. We
have used three in the past on a loan basis. One of them was finally donated.
They work great for all types of riding/driving. I would like to find out
information about the sire and the dam (s) of our two new fjords. Our new
fjords have the same sire but different dams. Do you have any suggestions on
how to go about this? Thanks for any information you can share.

Hi Lisa,
Bonnie from CA here. YES! I am still interested in hitching a ride for my
fjord from either WI or MN back to CA. Got any idea how much it will be to
help you with gas, etc? I am trying to figure out what to do in case I have
have to pay some one to get my guy from Hotovy's to Patti's. How big is
your trailer?? Do you haul any other breed besides fjords? There is that
site, UShip.com where people who haul or need something hauled go and get
connected up. Just an idea if you were trying to fill your trailer with
"things" to help pay for the trip.

Hey all.

I have gotten a couple of requests about both bringing a Fjord (s) to and
from from CA. / UT. to MN / WI area when delivering Fjern and picking up
our red

dun colt, Corgie Hills Luteson.

Im going to try and firm up dates, and would be happy to consider sharing
gas and overnight stabeling expenses with other Fjords that need to come
and

go.

( anyone considering one of Kristen Nessbith's Fjords ?? )

So starting in S. CA, headed out from S UT, through NB. up to the Winona,
MN. area, to Green Bay, WI. than back through NB through CO. and down
home.

Anyone trying to hitch rides somewhere NEAR this planned route, let me
know. Looking hard at the last weekend in Sep. for leaving UT.

   Lisa

Hello

We are a small therapeutic riding program located in Southern Colorado. We
have been privileged to have had the use of three Fjords for use with our
special needs children. Fjords, in my opinion, make the best horse for
equine assisted therapy. Because of their gentle demeanor and level head,
they cannot be compared. Their size is a true asset. Volunteers who are
side -walking with a child don't get tired (arms) like they do with other
breeds. They are great in the wheelchair ramp, very quiet, but very alert.

I was wondering if you might be interested in donating one of your Fjords?
We are a non-profit 501 (c) 3. The donation would be tax exempt. If you

Hello

I received your email about your situation and your Fjords. How unfortunate
for you and your husband.

I have a therapetuic ridiing program in the San Luis Valley in sourthern
Colorado. We have been fortunate to have the use of three Fjords that
belong to a private party. Two of the Fjords were very old and are no
longer with us. The younger Fjord is still going stong. He is broke to
ride and drive which is an asset to our special needs children and adults.
He has since been donated to our program. We are fortunate to have all
veterinary care donated to our program as well as farrier service.

In my opinion Fjords are the best horse a therapetuic riding program could
have and we are so fortunate that we have had this breed be part of our
program. Their temperment and demeanor not to mention their solid black
hooves can not be matched by any other breed.

Our local veterinarian has Tennesse Walkers and he often donates them to
our program. Would this type of horse work for you? It would be nice if we
could help you out and you could help out our program in retrun.

What price are you asking for your horses?

Thank you for your attention to this email.

We're devastated. We have to sell the Fjords due to circumstances. We
thought

they would have a forever home with us.
My husband has several broken
vertebrae now (not from the horses) and is unable to trot anymore.
Also, my
husband and I are not very good at riding and we find our fjord horses
very
small (14.1 and 13.2) for my husband. That makes everything more
uncomfortable

for his neck.
We have tried a gaited horse and we think he would do better
with gaited horses.(less impact on the neck)
The 2 fjords we have, have both
been started under saddle and all they need now is mileage.
One had 30 days
of professional training. Both are extremely sweet and healthy, from good
lines

and both with super feet.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with either horse.
They're loving, trusting, sound and they are practically bombproof.
The
smaller mare is 2.5 years old. The bigger gelding is 3.5 years old.
They're
easy keepers and have never had any health problem what so ever.
My vet loves
them for their disposition and good health. My farrier just adores their
feet.

Says he has never seen such good feet in horses.

We will consider trading for
a gaited horse (A gelding who is also willing to slow down).
He must be very
well broke and easy to handle. Color doesn't matter.
Disposition and health
are extremely important to us.
Our horses will only go to a very good home. We
will give a very good home to the gaited horse.
Email me privately at

RE: selling 2 Fjords

2007-02-28 Thread Carol Pastore

This message is from: "Carol Pastore" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hello

I received your email about your situation and your Fjords. How unfortunate
for you and your husband.

I have a therapetuic ridiing program in the San Luis Valley in sourthern
Colorado. We have been fortunate to have the use of three Fjords that belong
to a private party. Two of the Fjords were very old and are no longer with
us. The younger Fjord is still going stong. He is broke to ride and drive
which is an asset to our special needs children and adults. He has since
been donated to our program. We are fortunate to have all veterinary care
donated to our program as well as farrier service.

In my opinion Fjords are the best horse a therapetuic riding program could
have and we are so fortunate that we have had this breed be part of our
program. Their temperment and demeanor not to mention their solid black
hooves can not be matched by any other breed.

Our local veterinarian has Tennesse Walkers and he often donates them to our
program. Would this type of horse work for you? It would be nice if we could
help you out and you could help out our program in retrun.

What price are you asking for your horses?

Thank you for your attention to this email.

We're devastated. We have to sell the Fjords due to circumstances. We
thought

they would have a forever home with us.
My husband has several broken
vertebrae now (not from the horses) and is unable to trot anymore.
Also, my
husband and I are not very good at riding and we find our fjord horses very
small (14.1 and 13.2) for my husband. That makes everything more
uncomfortable

for his neck.
We have tried a gaited horse and we think he would do better
with gaited horses.(less impact on the neck)
The 2 fjords we have, have both
been started under saddle and all they need now is mileage.
One had 30 days
of professional training. Both are extremely sweet and healthy, from good
lines

and both with super feet.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with either horse.
They're loving, trusting, sound and they are practically bombproof.
The
smaller mare is 2.5 years old. The bigger gelding is 3.5 years old.
They're
easy keepers and have never had any health problem what so ever.
My vet loves
them for their disposition and good health. My farrier just adores their
feet.

Says he has never seen such good feet in horses.

We will consider trading for
a gaited horse (A gelding who is also willing to slow down).
He must be very
well broke and easy to handle. Color doesn't matter.
Disposition and health
are extremely important to us.
Our horses will only go to a very good home. We
will give a very good home to the gaited horse.
