Thanks for the introduction Zephanie! It's always nice to hear from one of
the silent majority on the Fjord List... and to hear a testimonial from a
fellow Fjord lover. Good Luck with your Western Pleasure interest!

Well a big Happy New Year and a warm welcome to all the new Fjord owners and
to those looking for a new horse ( Fjord of course ). I will say there is a
good selection of them on this list. Please, do express what you are looking
for; age, sex and training wise, so that if one of us here on the list has
something that may suit you, we can email you. Maybe its a good time for the
ads to appear , we have 3 Fjords for sale at this time: a 6 month old filly,
a filly that will be 3 yrs old in May, and a 12 yr. old mare with white dun
bloodlines. We also have a wagon and collar style pairs buggy harness for
sale. Please email us privately for anything you may have an interest in.

Hello Remi,
You've certainly come to the right place! Welcome to this list. I've
learned things about fjords here that I would never have found out if I
hadn't joined. A great place to go to is the NFHR website, you probably
already know about it, but if not it is: www.NFHR.com You'll find barns in
your area, events going on in your area and more.

Hi Remi and welcome to the list. I hope you will enjoy your young fjord. I
started out with an anglo Arab with much glitz and style. Crowd pleaser
etc. Then bred for and got a huge Trakehner/thoroughbred (too much
thoroughbred as I aged) who was very brilliant and a judge pleaser. Then
bred for and got a warm blood mare and now have my quiet fjord. Not always.
My point is that after Arabs a fjord may seem pretty laid back but he can
give you all the brilliance, see Wez and Anne Appleby, if you take the time
to train it into him. He will be a crowd pleaser by his very appearance,
lovable. Best of luck Jean

Hi everyone,
I'm new to list and hope I'm posting properlyif not will someone please
feel free to mail me and clue me in to the proper way.
I am a long time horse owner.and first time Fjord owner as of the end of
May. I lost a 1/2 Arab gelding last fallhe was replaced by a 2 year old
now geldingregistered name "Prairie Duster". I'm training him from the
ground now to drive and will train to ride next year. I board with a friend
who has 5 Arabs and live in Michigan. I joined the list to get training tips
concerning this breed and would love to know if there are any shows in
Midwest area of the US. I look forward to learning through you all and hope
at one point I can actually contribute some useful information.

Thanks Mike, I'm trying to have it all together in a couple of weeks. I
assume its not hard to get linked with the NFHR, we will call you when we're
ready. By the way whoever did your site did a nice job, easy to follow and
all. I'm learning designing a site is alot of work and hard to word for such
a wide variety of people.

We will be in touch. Pat

Thank you, we are currently working on a website. The cover page is on line,
and does have a drawing of mine, I am in the middle of putting together all
the other stuff right now and trying to get it off to the fellow actually
doing the work. I am very new to all of this "on line" & "web site" stuff, so
its a hit and miss job. I do have some other work (cartoons) that will be on
the website. Hopefully it will up and running in the next week or so, Please
look into it, we wanted it to be fun and light, plus informational. It will
be linked to the NFHR website, but I think you bring it up with
greenvalleyfarm.com Thanks again. Pat Holland
