[Flexradio] Fldigi
Hi all Have 2.4.4 update flex update for my flex 5k. Now fldigi won't trigger flex To transmit. Of course have VAC. Receives fine, when control T or hit TUNE button or T/R button fldigi itself goes into transmit but it doesn't key the flex. Have tried everything I think but obviously have missed something. Re: [Flexradio] Fldigi
Most likely it is the serial port assignments in the CAT control chain. Microsoft Operating System is famous for reassigning serial com ports if a change is made. Look there. Also, if you use DDUtil, check and make sure those serial ports are all aligned as you have previously assigned them. At least this has happened to me with previous changes. [Flexradio] 2.4.4 Install
The install was very smooth, however, the problem I experienced was the firewire did not connect after the restart, but, when I did a shutdown and started the computer back up everything worked as it should. I then recalled I had this problem when I installed 2.3.5 and a shutdown and startup resolved my issue then. I am guessing some things are not set properly until the shutdown is done vs a restart. YMMV. [Flexradio] RX2 CAT Control When Using CW Skimmer
I would like to use CW Skimmer on the 5000A with RX2 / VFO B. I have VAC2 set up to send RX2 audio to CWS but the band data showing up on CWS is for RX1 / VFO A. Click / Tune is changing the RX1 / VFO A. I am using DDUtil between the radio and CWS. Is there a way to set up the CAT control to CWS for RX2 / VFO B so the RX2 band data shows up on CWS and the Click / Tune will control RX2 / VFO B? Re: [Flexradio] RX2 CAT Control When Using CW Skimmer
Jerry, One option is to use the CWS port on DDUtil's RCP tab. When PSDR is in Split, clicking in the CWS water fall will QSY VFO B. If PSDR *NOT* in Split, clicking in the CWS water fall will QSY VFO A. This is especially handy for working a DX pileup, but may not be the solution you seek. 73, Steve K5FR -Original Message- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of Tim Ellison Sent: Sunday, September 09, 2012 10:45 AM To: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] RX2 CAT Control When Using CW Skimmer Use DDUtil Tim Ellison On 9/9/2012 11:32 AM, Jerry Coufal wrote: I would like to use CW Skimmer on the 5000A with RX2 / VFO B. Re: [Flexradio] Driver for Power SDR 2.4.4.
Bill, Thanks for letting me know. Well, I'm seeing the old legacy driver in device manager!! How are you starting the Flex firewire control panel? I don't have an icon in the start menu. Meanwhile, I'll have to look at getting firewire 4.0.0 installed. Thanks!! 73... Jon W1MNK On 9/7/2012 10:06 PM, William Owens wrote: Jon, First, thank you for your response. I actually have looked in both places, and they both say 4.0.0. In addition, Dudley at Flex, emailed me and confirmed that, indeed, I do have the up to date driver. I have installed an update before (a while back) and I always think the process of when to turn the radio back on is vague. I wish they would make it clearer but, hey, the hardware and software is sure darn good. My next step is to do the update on my MacBook Pro running boot camp with XP, SP3. [Flexradio] Slow Main Window Command Response in PSDR
I have had this issue as well, I have also noticed an extremely slow start up response from when you click on the power button as well, the system hangs for about 15-20 seconds then comes on. Once it is on there are mirrored or ghosted images displayed on the pan-adapter. These ghost images last for approximately a minute plus then go away, after which it seems to operate correctly. With exception to the lag when sometimes clicking on a menu button. System here AMD FX 8150 8 core Also tried an FX 6120 6 core and AMD Phenom 3.3 all produced the same outcome. Re: [Flexradio] Slow Main Window Command Response in PSDR
Looks like I've solved the problem on my end. I noticed that the response time reverted to normal speed when I had Fldigi open and connected via VAC with CAT Control active. Thinking that I needed to turn CAT Control off (and that there may be a bug in the CAT Control that didn't exist in 2.3.5) when I was not using Fldigi, I opened Setup/CAT Control and found the Allow Kenwood AI Command box was erroneously checked. I have unchecked this box and found that response time is now as expected with standalone PSDR 2.4.4, and with Fldigi or JT65-HF open. If you are still seeing the slow response time, I recommend you start by checking your CAT Control setup. 73, -Dave WD8KRV -Original Message- From: Richard Langford KD8LCD Sent: Sunday, September 09, 2012 4:49 PM To: wd8...@arrl.net ; w4yxu@gmail.com Cc: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: RE: [Flexradio] Slow Main Window Command Response in PSDR Curious what version of operating system are you running?
