Re: [Flexradio] Setting VAC With Flex 1500 And Fldigi 3.21.66
Hello all, I have question I'm also trying to set up VAC myself for the first time. I downloaded VAC 4.12.0.4972 (DEMO VERSION). I cannot get it to work. It works fine in receive mode but NO transmit. VAC 1 is the only option I can select on Power SDR. I went thru the set up 5 times thinking I messed something. I'm using this with my Flex 1500, the VAC2 button is blacked out on my Power SDR ver 2.4.4. but VAC 1 you can select and works. Running Fldigi 3.21.66 receives fine just cannot get to transmit ! [Flexradio] VAC Setup for Flex1500
For KD4JRX, When setting up VAC, it's important to remember: You need TWO VAC's set up in the software control panel - one for transmit, one for receive. These must match up with the appropriate input/output lines in PowerSDR (Setup, Audio tab, VAC1). VAC2 in PowerSDR is not used in the Flex 1500 series. To transmit, you'll also need a PTT line - typically done with a serial control, like VSPManager. If you press MOX when your software is transmitting, do you get output? That's a good test for your VAC configuration. Finally, yeah, you really must buy the VAC license. It's well worth it. Having a periodic voice stamp in your audio, transmit or receive, is a bad thing. Good luck!!!
