Re: [Flexradio] Issue with 2.6.4 regarding cat commands

2013-05-03 Thread Dave

Hi All,

Here's the fix with PSDR and HRD6 changing to VFO B.

In HRD, go to DX Cluster window, then click on the options button. In
the Selection tab make sure Change Modes on DX Spot, Use QSX on
Frequency, Reset Split on ALE Reset, and Reset Split on ALE Save are all
unchecked.

The VFO on PSDR will Switch from A to B when I hit the enter button for
callsign on the logbook for Ham Radio Deluxe.
With 2.5.3 this was not an issue.
Thank you to those of you who gave me the idea to trouble shoot with CAT
commands. You were right.
I am running Win 8 Pro 64 bit 16 gHz of Ram with a 2.5 gHz Intel Core i5
Runs great except for this one issue.
Anyone have any ideas?

Dan, I had similar problems. However it was HRD version 6 that was causing it.
I am looking to see if I kept the email how to correct this problem. If and
when I find it, I will posted and send you a copy.Or, if you are using HRD go
to their FAQ and you may find the solution. 73, Ernest W4EG

When out of Joy, try Dawn. ;)

Seriously, there has to be a new source of that noise in or near your
house/station. I have seen trickle chargers, battery tenders, wall warts,
etc. that caused horrendous noise. I personally found a wall wart on the
old router that went bad (it was >6 years old) and drove me nuts with
noise. Of course, it was the last thing I checked.

Outside the building, there could be a bad power line or transformer.

Best of luck finding the source; please let us know how it goes.

Unacceptable of course.

1. Redid the station ground , using new 1in braid. Fastened to 8 ft

3. Replaced power supply with one that I’ve used with no noise problems.

I’m out of Joy now. I’ve tried everything that I’ve utilized in past

Any ideas, suggestions, past experience that can be passed on.

I suspect that PowerSDR is doing exactly what it is told to do via a CAT
command being sent to it from HRD. Has HRD been updated?

[Flexradio] SDR-1000 setup problems

2013-05-03 Thread Bob Towers

Firstly, many thanks for those of you who responded to my pleas for help.

The general advice was to install PowerSDR 1.x, make sure the SDR-1000
runs with that, then install a version of 2.x. I installed 1.8 and
already had 2.3.5 on my PC (for my Flex1500). As soon as I ran 2.3.5,
the parallel port and cable worked fine, relays latched and so on.

The best explanation is that 1.x versions have one or more drivers in
them than do 2.x versions, though nobody could suggest what!

The main thing is that it now works and I can concentrate on getting it
all calibrated and aligned.
