Re: [Flexradio] Ferrite beads in the computer case?
Hi David I do it as an option on the computers I sell, basically I buy split toroids from digikey and put one on any non-data lead in the case. The most critical is to get the wires going to the front panel switches and lights as I think they are the most common cause of RF leaking into the case but I feel better doing all of the power cables touching the mobo, including the fan power leads. 73 Neal Campbell Abroham Neal LLC On Mon, Mar 24, 2014 at 10:56 PM, David Gallatin kc9...@yahoo.com wrote: Hello everyone, I just bought a 5Ka and am building from scratch a new tower to run it on. Hi Neal, Thank you for your insight. Which mix do you recommend? And do you shrink or tape the beads as well? Dudley and Tim, I am still having trouble on start up. I get the horizontal line cross the waterfall dark on bottom half white on top half. I go to the FlexRadio Icon and then to Operation mode if it is on normal I put it on safe mode 1, if it is on safe mode 1 I put it on normal 1 and then turn radio off and back on and it opertes normal. any sugestions on what I have set wrong.
