Thanks guys for your help.  Progress but no cigar.  Hwd Config confirms
RFIO-0006 (34C) there as required.  Still RX2 does not see anything but RX1
Tap.  Pan adaptor supports that no sigs are received on RX2.  Time for a
ticket, maybe?

[Flexradio] Flex3000 gen/bal test fail & agc-t problem

My radio seems to pass all tests but fail the gen/bal test. It comes back with 
-28.4 instead  of -26.8. From what i can tell the radio seems to fuction OK. 
How will this affect the radio if this test is  failing. I have performed these 
tests with a new database with the recommended settings into a dummy load. 

The other thing  i noticed is  if  i have headphones on i can hear digital 
distortion coming from what i tracked down to be the agt-t. If i have it set to 
fixed and lower the agc setting to 60 or so it dissapers.  If its on any other 
setting it is audible.  It sounds like a fast clicking sound.  I noticed i get 
the same noise if i put the af gain up and down really fast. I tried all sorts 
of settings but haven't been able to stop this. It's is more pronounced with 
stronger signals. Any help with this will be appreciated.

Mike,

An unhandled exception error, is a loss of communications between the radio and 
PowerSDR ,  failure in the FireWire subsystem.  Usually HW,  FW card, or cable. 
   Most likely the cable, some FW cables are not up to running at the full 
400mbit streaming that the latest driver is sending, rare occasions it's the 
card itself.   Now very rarely some thing else in the system can cause an 
exception error,  but usually this will show up as DPC errors .   Unlike XP,  
Win7 needs to have the Power Options set for "High Performance".

You just received an answer from Dudley (Mr. Flex Service to many of us).
Connect your second antenna to the BNC RX2 connector and you are set to go.

I have a early 5K (blue light) and it works well. There were very few of
the early antenna matrix boards, and most were upgraded long ago.

Jim,

Rx2 can only access Ant1, RX2 in,  or RX1 Tap,  connect your secondary or 
reference antenna to Ant1 or preferably RX2in, BNC CONNECTOR.   Then start the 
diversity RX. You will only hear and see RX1.

I have a similar problem, but usually it only happens if I leave the Flex
3000 computer on overnight. I have learned to reboot the computer in the
morning before powering up the radio. This seems to have fixed the problem
... the last time this happened was yesterday. I also have a robust computer
running Win7. (nothing else runs on this computer).

[Flexradio] Dual Diversity No Joy!

Tried RX1 to ANT2.  RX2 to ANT1.  No joy on RX2 to ANT1.  RX2 does not see
anything but RX1 Tap.  In other words, RX2 is apparently sharing the
antenna connected to RX1.  I see no explanation as to what RX1 Tap is, but
it could be an interconnect feature allowing both receivers to share the
antenna which is tied to RX1.  You think?
