Re: [Flexradio] GUI question
hu, I though these were Software defined radios. Who writes the software? Maybe I'm missing the point but this seems to be a very basic human engineering question. One logically groups like functions together, like all of the mode buttons are together. I understand that 6m is native to the rig but the transverter settings are different, the end user should be able to put these controls where they want them. What about a Flex 5000 with the dual band transverter installed? Would these bands show up on the VHF sub menu? It just makes no sense to me that this isn't an option. Re: [Flexradio] GUI question
Terry, You can use your VHF contesting software to control the switching. I'm using N1MM (could use Writelog or others) through VAC to communicate via CAT on the Flex. When you switch bands, the Flex will follow with no clicking involved. I'm setup to switch from 6m to 10G with direct entry from the keyboard. I have an LF transverter set up as such as an experiment to switch in an LF filter using the xvtr output. This is using a flex 1500. it worked fine as such but appeared as a VHF band. -- Brian D ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
