RE: [Flightgear-devel] Viewer Improvements and 3D cockpit (and note to Alex Perry)
Any chance someone could post a screen shot??? Jon [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of David Megginson I've just checked in Jim's latest viewer improvements and I encourage everyone to update the main source tree and the base package, then try fgfs --aircraft=c172-3d ___ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel

The propeller is spinning off center to the left. From the left seat, the prop should be off center to the right I think. (Or do they fly on the other side of the victor airways in Canada?) :-) One problem I saw is that if you pitch up/down the view from the 'inside the cockpit' view and then switch to an external view, the aircraft model itself is left at the 'view' pitch offset which is incorrect. (Or do they fly on the other side of the victor airways in Canada?) :-) There is no background because you see the 3D model's panel behind the instruments. If you're not seeing the 3D model panel behind the instruments, make sure you're using the latest base package and source code from the CVS. Yes, I'm seeing this in the newest code as well. Hmmm, I'm not seeing the panel behind the instrument, and I do have the latest cvs base and source as of 5 seconds ago ... I suppose I could try a full rebuild ... (?) You might have to -- dependency handling seems very badly screwed up these days. It could also have something to do with your 3D hardware -- in main.cxx, I set the near clip very close for interior view, and perhaps that's screwing something up for you. Strange, I didn't notice that one. There is another bug with using the heading/pitch offsets in lookat anyway (not the mouse ones but the one manipulated with the dial widgets). Will take a look tonight. Best, Jim ___ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel

As I just mentioned to Curt by private e-mail, I hadn't checked Jim's latest c172-3d-set.xml into the base package. Perhaps Curt will have better luck with it.
