Mony Python had some wonderful moments. I once played Lucky in Waiting for
Godot - THAT was a wonderful moment, too...

Re: FLUXLIST: Buzzer Pod garden

2002-03-14 Thread John M. Bennett

Thx., Tom, goodto know this. Esp. since I myself wasn't so sure I
liked that one so much. But I do know that the more a poem
works for someone, the more of a mystery it is as to
why/how. It's easy to figure out why a bad poem is bad; impossible
to know, really, why a good poem is good. (Tho the process of
TRYING to know can be fascinating and rewarding...)

Onword,
John

John,
I can't explain why, or even approach explaination, but I think
Buzzer is my favorite poem of yours I've read. I really can't
say why it appeals to me so much more than the others. I'm not even sure
why I'm bothering to let you know, since it doesn't help you that much.

Oh, well.

FLUXLIST: now and then...

2002-03-14 Thread George Free

It's interesting how this article on O'Reillynet by Linux programming
author Andy Oram

http://www.openp2p.com/pub/a/p2p/2002/03/08/media.html

evokes the themes of Fluxus and the radical art of the 60's...

Make sure you read the second page...

One of my favorite exhibits at the New York Museum of Modern Art
(MOMA), when I would visit it as a child, was an abstract, smoky,
shifting-color film that changed without interruption all through the
day. etc..

Actually, what he envisions sounds a lot like mail art and the Eternal
Network...

cheers,
George
