Re: FLUXLIST: FLUXLIST BOX #2?
I second and third Josh's and Melissa's ideas about a second box for/of the fluxlist. I am also happy to help out in any way needed along with contributing. It seems to me that there are two aspects that would be nice to work into this project: 1. a collection of scores since there have been several nice ones posted to the list, so this could be a compilation of those already posted as well as new ones; 2. More along the lines of Melissa's idea of a box of multiples or the like (that is what you were thinking wasn't it Melissa?) I have more ideas, but let's see what others think. . . . Owen

I second the thought of a Second Fluxlist Box the first one was great, and I'm getting into doing multiples. So I'd participate, but can't offer to do more. Anyone else? FLUXLIST: FLUXLIST BOX #2?
Friends, Is it not time to start thinking of a second FluxList Box? I treasure the first one and I love showing it to visitors. While recently thinking of the Fluxus for Dummies book that will never get finished, I thought that a FluxList box is a project I could tend to completion. Who is in it with me? Should we have the same parameters as last time? I have not began to look for boxes. I would prefer that the theme of the box be kept free (i.e. open to any interpretation), but I would like to suggest two titles: a) Box #2: FluxList for Dummies b) FluxList Box for Peace However, everything is open for debate. -Josh Ronsen in Austin, Texas Need a new email address that people can remember Check out the new EudoraMail at http://www.eudoramail.com

Shu, but we cannot imagine it is comfortable for those who attempt to make careers out of currently fashionable corpse of FLUXUS. Lest it's forgotten, the major figuras of FLUXUS were involved in it in the 60s, 70s. Typical academic "feeding" after founder's death, as well as attempts to rewrite history, after all of the originals start dying out. It would be so comfortable if all figuras pre-1980s when FLUXUS happened are removed n'est pas? This is not courage. This is cheap egotistical + standard academic shark politics. O. Excuse us--but we must have been mistaken. This is not a FLUXUS list. It is a pacifier for a few ignorant maniacs who cannot control themselves. New air? Yes, we are always for "new air". But new air means overcoming old, murderous ape impulses and programmatic knee-jerks. And that requires real (art)work. Not passive-aggressive dictatorial idiocy. -- http://fastmail.fm - Send your email first class

From: allen bukoff <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: welcome welcome to fluxlist what is your purpose in joining? .Our intent is obvious to those who can see. what do you hope to get out of fluxlist subscription? .Hope does not function in order to "get things out of." allen bukoff one of severall fluxlist list administrators/owners .owner = dictatorial ape is this FLUXLIST or a list to act as pacifiers for the egos of a few marginal figures? Tell us allen, dear, how does it work? Several idiots project their own negativity + egos onto us, and we must either swallow crap and play along with their egos, or are censored? FLUXLIST is a simpleton gathering, or an art list? It does not matter how many times you "unsubscribe" us. You're attempting scapegoat murder in order to pacify the murderous impulses of a few simpletons. We are quite sure that this is not "mutual support" but idiocy. -- http://fastmail.fm - And now for something completely different...

Certainly. And the "idea" is not new. Without disrespect for Fluxus, it has been implemented, spoken about, etc. by many others before. But we respect FLUXUS for maintaining the notion (or attempting to) (which is not evidenced by this list).

Nor would ita lter that you're avoiding responsibility for your own behavior. The very "first" to scream about "offenders". Add yourself to the list.
