Re: Building enlightenment-devel fails
Hi, thanks for the answer. Alexey Shuvaev wrote: Could you check that you have up-to-date and consistent ports? Or, otherwise, is it possible that there are some stale files laying around in your system? I have just installed x11-wm/enlightenment-devel without any problems and it runs too. I have no libecore_dbus.* library. The dbus binding is in devel/e_dbus now and installed as libedbus.*. BTW, ecore is in devel/ecore and friends (deve/ecore-*), if it matters. My system (amd64 FreeBSD-CURRENT) was updated yesterday (both base and ports): -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 16507539 May 28 12:16 /usr/ports/INDEX-8 I would suggest removing ALL enlightenment-related ports first and starting from scratch then. To locate which package has installed libecore_dbus, you can run, for example: ~> grep -R libecore_dbus /var/db/pkg/ On my system this command produces no output, but: ~> grep -R libedbus /var/db/pkg/ /var/db/pkg/e_dbus-20080223/+CONTENTS:lib/libedbus.a /var/db/pkg/e_dbus-20080223/+CONTENTS:lib/libedbus.la /var/db/pkg/e_dbus-20080223/+CONTENTS:lib/libedbus.so /var/db/pkg/e_dbus-20080223/+CONTENTS:lib/libedbus.so.1 shows that libedbus is inside e_dbus-20080223 package. Building enlightenment-devel fails
Hi All, I'm running a FreeBSD 6.3-PRERELEASE and after a portupgrade building enlightenment-devel fails with following error. --snip-- libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/local/lib/libecore_dbus.la' or unhandled argument `/usr/local/lib/libecore_dbus.la' gmake[3]: *** [enlightenment] Error 1 --snip-- I googled this problem an found this --snip-- This removes the DBUS check for ecore. Since ecore does not appear to link against any other DBUS port, it is not necessary. In addition enlightenment-devel will not build if ecore does not have DBUS enabled due to a dependency on Ecore_DBus.h in e.h. A better way is welcome. --snip-- The attached patch doesn't solve the problem as I dunno know which Makefile to patch. "/usr/ports/x11/ecore/Makefile" doesn't exist on my machine, only "/usr/ports/x11/ecore-desktop". This was not the first problem with the upgrade. As ports/UPDATING said on 20080312 ecore and evas have been splitted. After uninstalling and clean reinstalling all e-related packages now problems with libcore_dbus.la occure. Please excuse my probably stupid questions here, but I'm relatively new to FreeBSD and try to fix most of my problems by myself. But in here im stuck. Any help will be highly appreciated. As for requesting Apache 2, I find it best to first install apache version you want, then letting the ports find the one that is installed, rather than expecting them to install the right version. Bad line in Makefile for /usr/ports/audio/mbrolavox
Dear [EMAIL PROTECTED] I am using the PORTS supplied with PCBSD 1.4RC on CD2 . I have updated my PORTS recently. I do not know where this sytem gets the PORTS from but anyway .. There is a bug in this Makefile ( /usr/ports/audio/mbrolavox/Makefile ) which will show up if you do #cd /usr/ports #make index or #cd /usr/ports/audio/mbrolavox #make maintainer The output shows madrid# make index Generating INDEX-6 - please wait..cut: stdin: Illegal byte sequence "Makefile", line 32: warning: "/usr/bin/cut -f 1 -d '|' < /usr/ports/audio/mbrolavox/voices .conf" returned non-zero status This arises because of a strange character in the name of an Icelandic person in file voices.conf Suggest you change the " cut " line to say instead - awk -F'|' '{print $1}' < voices.conf ( Incidently I wonder if this is actually a bug incut . I would think it should concern itself only with the divider character ) [EMAIL PROTECTED] __ Tiscali Broadband only £7.99 a month for your first 3 months! http://www.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband/ ___ freebsd-ports@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
Strange problem with skype on RELENG_6 KERNEL since the end of may.
A RELENG_6 kernel from May 21 works fine with skype but boot a newer kernel and skype seems to be blocking port 80. Apache logs show nothing. I can find no logs errors anywhere but a telnet to port 80 answers with what would seem to be binary chars. I close skype and all is back to normal. I had originally thought that it had to do with the new xorg installation but it seems to be something in the kernel. The configurations were the same, basically GENERIC with all the pf stuff. I won't even ask if anyone else is seeing it. I have a hard time believing it myself. If anybody would like to try 0.53.3 with this patch, look for ports/105573 in FreeBSD PR database. I would like to get as much feedback as possible. I downloaded the pr patch and applied it manually and it broke the complilation with fam but since I'm not sure if this should be fam based or gamin based with the change. I would also appreciate your attaching an empty mail/courier port with your changes, if you could, just to be sure that my manual application was ok although they were very simple but sometimes that is worse. On a side note, I would like to know which add-ons are people using with courier. I have good experience with clamcour (security/clamcour in FreeBSD ports) and a bit with pythonfilter (mail/courier-pythonfilter in ports). I am only using spamassassin and clamcour, that I agree works great. What else is being used? I'm also thinking that maybe this should probably be on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] rather than courier-users unless other os's have the gamin/fam conflicts. I was just looking at my different courier installations and I see that there isn't a gamin/fam standard. On some I'm still running /usr/local/bin/fam -T 0 and newer ones, I'm not and they all work although one is complaining about fam in the log file. I guess that what I'm suggesting is that a best or recommended method be added to the courier port. Life was easier before gamin but . . . Thanks to all, ed P.S. I was able to completely pkg_delete php5* eaccel* apache* pecl* on 7.0-CURRENT from Sundayand rebuild them with portmaster and I am no longer sigfaulting but I did the same on 3 FreeBSD 6.2-PRERELEASE #9: Wed Nov 8 03:08:00 CST 2006 with about the same date and they all still sigfault. Are the php.core files useable for debugging at all? No help unfortunately but the current vs prerelease got my attention.
