[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #17236] [transport18] unit selection dialog

2011-08-26 Thread Nathan

Follow-up Comment #13, bug #17236 (project freeciv):

Huge step in the right direction. Nice work! It would be very helpful to be
able to select only sentried or only idle units within those subsets. It
would also be great to be able to select only healthy or wounded units.
Perhaps those could just be choices in the unit selection dialog.
…eventually. :^)

The bug that prevents orders sticking to a group of selected units is still
there, but I don't think it's gotten any worse. (i.e. You select 14 units,
issue a command to them (e.g. Sentry), and then it cycles through all but one
of the units, activating them and asking for orders. …but if at any point
in that second issuance of orders, you end the turn, all the units except the
currently active one follow the first order. I'll have to double-check to
make sure someone submitted that bug….)

[Freeciv-Dev] [patch #2941] Polish localization for S2_4

2011-08-26 Thread Hubert Kowalewski

Follow-up Comment #6, patch #2941 (project freeciv):

Thanks for the comments :)

"Pędnik" was in the translation when I took it over and frankly, I never
crossed my mind to change it, but your comments make sense. The help section
says that "space component" is something that propels the spaceship and it has
two parts, so perhaps let's make it "space component" = "napęd rakiety",
"propulsion" = "silnik" , "fuel component" = "zbiornik paliwa". It seems
reasonable that "napęd = silnik + zbiornik paliwa", and we will have a nice
equivalent for "space component".

"Learned" is slightly problematic, but I wanted to limit the impersonal
participles constructions since there quite a lot of "sprzedano, zakupiono,
wybrano" etc. and it was getting a bit stylistically awkward. What about
"poznaliśmy"? Seems more natural in this context.

Thanks for noticing the typos. Typo hunt is a real challenge in such a big
localization :D I'll include the changes in the next revision and I'll add
them to the S2_3 too.

[Freeciv-Dev] [patch #2941] Polish localization for S2_4

2011-08-26 Thread anonymous

Follow-up Comment #5, patch #2941 (project freeciv):

A few minor points:
- while I can understand, that finding a decent sounding translation for
"space component" is hard, "napęd" fits "propulsion" much better than
"pędnik" (the later sound too much XIX century like) - (that wold i.e. give
data/helpdata.txt:1504 a really nice sound)
- I think that for ""Learned %s" a much better than "Twoi naukowcy odkryli
%s" would be "Poznano %s" - I think the whole discovered/invented problem was
why it used "Learned" in English
(though even English falls into the trap at server/techtools.c - I'm unsure
though how things like government forms should be treated)

Also, a technical/aesthetic issues:
in server/techtools.c:379 the missing space on the end makes the following
message attached to the end of the word
in server/techtools.c:349 a typo: "Treaz" should be "Teraz"
