attr_rewrite documentation?
Hi all, I'm in the process of setting up a FreeRADIUS server to replace our ancient one, and part of our requirements mean using attr_rewrite. Is there any decent documentation/how-to's out there on how it is used? And FWIW, I'm going to share our logic, so please feel free to poke holes in it: 1. We use [EMAIL PROTECTED]. If the realm is missing, we will use attr_write to add it. 2. Since we're AAA'ing using a SQL database, the username needs to be parsed so that the username and the realm/domain is split. Then those, plus the password, are checked against the SQL DB. Seem sane to you? -- Stephen. - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? See http://www.freeradius.org/list/users.html
RE: H323 Accounting Information error
Oops, sorry, have check CVS... But we use MySQL database... Submit a patch or adapt some how. -- Steve - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? See http://www.freeradius.org/list/users.html

I want to use RADIUS as authentication for those students if they are going to use INTERNET. And of course they have their own timelimit. Thats all i need.. i hope you get what i meant.. That's all? There are a number of qualified contractors on this mailing list who will be glad to set this up for you. Of course, we aren't going to do it for free vis a vis this mailing list. is there any complete documentation regarding these ? Yes. www.freeradius.org ?? Not enough for me .. Then I'd suggest purchasing a copy of the O'Reilly book RADIUS. -- Steve - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? See http://www.freeradius.org/list/users.html

If this is hard for you then its okay. I hope the others can help me, at least web documentation about how it works. Obviously you did not read what I had written. In the spirit of your past messages, I will highlight key words: I was referring to outside CONSULTING for setting up FREERADIUS. I was NOT referring to other COMMERCIAL RADIUS servers. As I pointed out in my last message, I suggest you read RADIUS published by O'REILLY. If for some reason Amazon.com is unavailable to you, you can read it online at the O'Reilly WEBSITE for a small fee. -- Steve - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? Re: How do I dynamically insert and delete users?
How do I dynamically insert and delete users that the radius server will use? Modifying raddb/users each time is too cumbersome, isn't it? SQL or LDAP with a front-end of some sort. Check the archives, there has been plenty of discussion about it. -- Steve. - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? See http://www.freeradius.org/list/users.html

In your case, you must use the authorize section.. -- Steve I'm migrating from ic-radius to freeradius. It seems that they read the same MySQL table structure. I've made some preliminary adjusts in radiusd.conf, but still can't have freeradius starting with mysql. I keep getting error: sql modules aren't allowed in authenticate sections -- they have no such method Where did I miss? Also, is there a howto/help/step-by-step guide, radiusd.conf example, anything I can read about it? As far as I gone, freeradius.org has no tips Thanks in advance, -- Fernando. - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? See http://www.freeradius.org/list/users.html - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? Arescom as a NAS.
Hi all, Has anyone had experience with Arescom gear as a NAS and FreeRADIUS? I'm looking at using the Arescom 6100 units, and I'd appreciate any feedback. -- Steve - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? See http://www.freeradius.org/list/users.html
