Re: [Freevo-users] song title does not change

2003-11-02 Thread Aubin Paul
I've seen this behaviour too; it won't show up as an error because
something isn't going wrong exactly, it's more that something isn't
going "right" in that the display isn't being updated as songs finish.

[Freevo-users] video / music menu

2003-11-02 Thread Richard van Paasen
I have music albums in subdirs of "/video/" and video files in
"/video/". In local_config.py I can set e.g:

  DIR_IMAGES = [ ('Images', '/images') ]

But how do tell freevo that it should display the subdirectories in
/images/ when I select Images from the main menu? Same for video... it's
annoying to press enter twice to get into the /video/ or /music/ directory.

- Richard.

[Freevo-users] song title does not change

2003-11-02 Thread Alec - Freevo
Hello there,

Problem with the song title when playing a cd. The song title does not
change when song changes. The title gets stuck to the first song played.
Time continues to flow. When elapsed time gets other the total time, total
time is increased at the same time as elapsed.
No errors in the logs.
I'm using freevo 1.4rc2 on a debian unstable (it's in fact freevo-runtime
+ 1.4rc2).

cheers,

Alec

Re: [Freevo-users] Re: Gentoo freevo start problem

2003-11-02 Thread Xavier Garcia
I'm a little desolate because I can't get enough information to check why
my freevo installation dosen't work.
There are any other means to trace the program execution ?
this is the last message freevo give me and I don't know what can I do.
osd.py (304): Loading font "/usr/bin/../share/freevo/fonts/Vera.ttf"

Any suggestions would be appreciate.

Re: [Freevo-users] newbie: problem playing audio and video

2003-11-02 Thread Jang Lemmer
the problem was with xine trying to use the xv driver. I now installed
the nvidia driver for my TNT2M64, and now it does also play DVD
movies... exept for the sound... no sound yet when playing DVD's

This doesn't seem to be a freevo problem: when I lauch xine without any
parameter, the result is the same. movie plays, but no sound.

mplayer_stderr.log and mplayer_stdout.log don't contain any error.

It depends on a couple of things; are you using your own mplayer or a
public one? If your system lacks support for encrypted DVDs, you might
have that problem.
If you've got Xine installed you should probably check that your have
libdvdread and libdvdcss available.

AW: [Freevo-users] Freevo 1.4rc2 is out

2003-11-02 Thread Jan Grewe
Very Nice, first off thanks to all who helped freevo becoming so good!

I've discovered that my crystal skin needs (at least) another icon,
something to display when you detach the audio player and it is listed in
the music menu, for now it has the unknown mimetype icon, i'll create an
icon for it and take a look in the detach.py to add a mimetype for it. But
that's gonna wait until tonight, there's some lady waiting ;)

Hi,

We hope that this is the last rc release before the final
1.4. It took a little bit longer, but here it is now:

Changelog:

  * Added a playlist plugin
  * TvTime plugin redo
  * Additional translations: da, de, fi, it, pt
  * Changed the Shutdown function to ask for confirmation
first
  * Support for external plugins and themes
  * Fix signal problems with child processes
  * And as usual: bugfixes

We don't distribute the source and binary package as two
files anymore. We now reactivated an extra runtime package so you don't need
to download 13MB for every update. Please take a look at the README and the
INSTALL file for details.

Please test this release so we make a bug free 1.4. I guess,
1.4 will be our stable release for some time. If noone
reports bugs with the new record-server, the old one will
also be removed before 1.4. Please don't report bugs for
older releases and if we didn't answer a mail about a bug,
please send the bug report again, if the bug is still in
rc2.

If you want to help, please update the translations. See the
WiKi for more details.

For tv, you pass options via -tv, but add tv:// to let it know the URI
it's supposed to play. Odd way of doing it, but that's the way it is...

It is dvd:// in the mplayer video plugin, but there are some -tv in
the tv plugin. Can someone take a look please.
