I can second that, I have the same board (Gigabyte MA78GM-S2H), I am running Fedora 10 with the latest ATI drivers. It took a little playing about to get everything to playback through the HDMI as default but once it was it works brilliantly. This allows me to do away with my expensive and small media centre PC and have a high powered PC which can sit in the understairs cupboard, using nice big low noise fans, and generally be out of the way, this also lets me have a fast CPU and decent graphics card for HD playback and possibly even some games. It also gets around the expansion problem or having to have a case that looks good in the lounge. This means running all the output from the cupboard to the Telly :) Looking around HDMI would seem to be the best way of doing this, I can send stereo and digital audio over HDMI along with the video signal, and have it automagically picked up by the TV. The digital audio can then go into the amp and be turned into surround sound if required (when playing back DVDs). Best of all long HDMI cables are fairly cheap, and it means only running 1 cable. Now this is all well and good in theory, but I cannot find much information on how to achieve this, and certainly not in linux. There appear to be a few cards out there with HDMI out for video but no way of getting the audio into the HDMI signal. Does anyone know of any video / sound card pairs that fit the bill, and most importantly actually work on Linux! PCM is still way too loud and distorts everything. I've tried creating a mixer profile and loading on boot but freevo overrides this. this says to me that there is a setting in there somewhere which controls the PCM volume. The station you have supplied doesn't seem to be a regular stream which would
be picked up by a media player, rather a flash based stream.
A mod of the youtube plugin or similar would probably be your only option,
unless there is another streaming method from this station?

Hello all,
This is my first post to the list and hope someone can help me.
I want to add streaming radio to my freevo and cannot seem to get it correct. I
am not sure what to do to make it work.

Hi guys, Does anyone know the config directive to set the PCM volume on start of freevo? For some reason even though i set volume levels on boot freevo always alters them when it starts, this is fine for master as my remote controls this however PCM seems to jump up to a level which ever so slightly distorts when playing music. Any ideas? Hi all, I've been looking at pyfacebook a python based module which links into facebook, just wondered if anyone had looked into writing a module for freevo to display notifications as an osd. I'm sure it would be possible and relatively straight forward as the module is already written in python and the firefox facebook toolbar displays notifications on events such as wall posts/messages etc. I'm just a bit poo at programming.
