I have a multitude of maillist memberships. Finding old stuff means you need a good search engine and good search strategies - and then mailing list or forum gives no advantage. Mailist provides the means of searching through archives much easier and simpler since it's all in the user's desktop/laptop and it's all threaded and you can use it when one does not have an I-net connection available. One litte thing... on the Freevo Live CDs page, my name is at both FreevoLive and Geexbox... though I have nothing to do with Geexbox ;-) Off course I do like the fact that you mention FreevoLive on the website. :-) Michel 2007/8/13, Dirk Meyer [EMAIL PROTECTED]: John Molohan wrote: Hi all, Following from all your great feeback I've made some more changes to the new site, fixed up some code and changed the logo. The only thing I can think of is that when the new site goes live, the wiki's going to look very outdated, not that it doesn't already. Maybe the wiki could be themed to look like the new site? [Freevo-users] New site - any final thoughts before
I'd like to see forums on the site. I think they are more convenient and simpler to use than mailing lists. Sorry if this has been covered before. Re: [Freevo-users] New site - any final thoughts before
Just had some time to check the site and it looks very good. Only one little thing: If I click on the main menu items which have subitems, there's no link behind it. (See Download in the right menu. No link, but if I use the Donwload link in the top-menu I see a page). Overall: Very good work!
