Re: [Freevo-users] Testers required for DVB Live Pause Plugin

Yep I'm afraid at the moment DVBStreamer doesn't support ATSC but if there is
enough interest I will look into adding a sister app, something like
ATSCStreamer :-).Although you could see if there are any new services by typing
lsservices. You may find that you have a number of services which are
alphanumeric, try streaming one of these.CheersAdamTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

Adam,
I'm very interested in this feature. I have
downloaded and compiled dvbstreamer, however, I'm unable to figure out how to
get the software to work with my pcHDTV 5500 card, using ATSC. I suspect
that dvbstreamer doesn't support at ATSC channels.conf file.

My channels.conf file entries look like this
...
WGBH-HD:503028615:8VSB:49:52:3WGBH-SD:503028615:8VSB:65:68:4WCVB-DT:509028615:8VSB:49:52:3
However, attempted to select WGBH-HD in dvbstreamer
doesn't work.

I'm really new to freevo and got music, movies and games working just recently.
I was looking at the freevo/VDR integration with the recent discussions that
took place lately (freevo plugin for VDR).It looks like what you are suggesting
might work for me, and add the pause support which I love.
Last question (not entirely related to your contribution): what can we do for
the support of CAM?Thanks,Olivier.

[Freevo-users] Testers required for DVB Live Pause Plugin

2007-02-08 Thread Adam Charrett
Hi,I'm looking for some testers to give my DVB live pause plugin a good going
over before submitting it as a feature request.A few things to note, you'll
need a DVB card which can stream the entire transport stream, most PCI and USB2
cards will work. You'll also need another piece of software that I've written,
DVBStreamer, I've been using it for a while as a backend to freevo but this is
the first try at live pause. You can get DVBStreamer from
http://dvbstreamer.sourceforge.netUnfortunately I haven't the time or skill to
create rpms/debs for this so its a source tarball that has to be configured and
built.Once you've got DVBStreamer built and installed go get the plugin from
http://www.charrett.plus.com/livepause-0.1.tar.bz2Any questions/problems feel
free to contact me.Also it would be great if some more experienced python
programmers could give the ring_buffer.py code a once over.CheersAdam
