I have a 292 and 233, but the one that isn't labeled is this:

ck8241xxbkeaw (kinda hard to read so I may have messed a few)

the mobo does have the Rgae LT Pro chip on it.

It would be helpful if you can give the serial numbers of the logic
board and processor you have connected. with that info, one of us can
check the "matrix" in the manual to see if you have compatible items.

The WS1 CPUs do not get video out on a WS2 mobo. I am guessing the
ROMs on the WS1 CPU dont understand the newer video chipset on the
WS2 mobo.

Let me make sure I have the right parts hooked up also. TO the mobo I have:

LCD
Power management unit
CPU (w/ RAM)
Power adapter unit thing that the adapter plugs into
Speakers (for dongage)
Pram batt
Fan (so I really know it's on)

If I can find batteries for my dig cam I'll send some pics.

Double clicking opens a separate window for that contact in Address
Book. Is this a matter of settings or preferences? I'm using Mail
2.0.2 and Address Book 4.0.2. So, since it has never worked for me
that way for any Mail field, I apparently misunderstood the question.

What I understood is that by clicking on the Address Book button
on the tool bar of a new message or reply gets you access to Address
Book listings and clicking on the listing gets that name and address
in the proper field. Address book application is not opened.

2. Why use the Address Book in the first place? If you know the
name of a person you want to send an email to, just start typing.
If that person has more than one email address, a list will pop
down; same thing for different recipients whose names begin with
the same characters.

I would find it more convenient to use the click method because
I wouldn't have to remember how the entry was make in address book, I
could chose which e-mail address, and other things. I might want to
choose several listings or see the list to jog my memory. It's just
a different way that minds work. For someone who used Bcc
frequently, I could see this would be a source of irritation and
inconvenience. I think this program behavior is a bug.

There are different settings for battery and for power supply. Play

Re: Setting Up Mail with YaHoo

I would like to use Mail with Yahoo mail but have
failed so far. I was able to set up Netscape to get
my email from Yahoo, but with Mail It never seems to
find my user. SBC/Yahoo provide the address for the
incoming (POP) server and the outgoing SMTP server &
port. The instructions from SBC/Yahoo are for mail
1.2, but it seems to be the same screens.

I used MacFreePops to port forward yahoo mail to mail.ap It also does
hotmail and other web-based mail too. Look for MacFreePop at
versiontracker.com. They have a pretty good explanation on the
developers' web site.

Unless you want a new powerbook (perhaps? on the cheap 'cos everyone
is "waiting" for Intel), if you have a PCCard slot, 56k PCCard modems
are cheap, if you have a USB slot, USB modems aren't that bad.

YMMV.

I just had it happen again tonight - I was working on a Word
document (had it on battery power - 3/4 full) but had a phone call
so to preserve battery power, I closed the lid while on my call.
When I opened it to resume typing - Nothing, nada, zip. I could
not get it to wake up no matter what I tried (i.e. hitting space
bar, various keys, etc etc).

The only way I could get it to power on again was to plug it in and
then push the power key. However, even then, it took 5 tries
before it finally came on. Before that, I heard it come on but
then heard a click like the disk drive was trying to turn and then
nothing. I waited a couple of minutes and then tried again. Like
I said, after 5 tries with 2 minutes in between each, it finally
came on.

Any suggestions as to what may be going on ?

Amber

Amber,

On top of the suggestions from John.

Take the battery off and put it back on making sure it is seated
correctly.
