I know that's true for aftermarket G4 upgrades, but I don't think it
is for the Yikes! CPU. The Yikes! uses exactly the same motherboard
only without an ADB port so there's no logical reason why the bus
speed should be affected.

Multiple address books possible?

2010-05-19 Thread Bruce Johnson
Is there any way to have more than one Address book per user?

One of our people has synched her address book and iCal with her boss to manage
it, but she needs one for her own addresses. I've looked around and there's
lots of stuff about sharing address books with multiple people, but nothing
about one person having multiple address books.

Just to be sure about what we are dealing with here, did you do a "Get

Yes the get info says. The drive format is Windows NTFS. All I did
was plug it into the MBP with Snow Leopard and it writes. After
installing the driver on the PPCs it now will write on them also.

2010-05-19 Thread Richard Gerome

I had the same problem with my Titanium Powerbook too, it's the 3rd party
battery doesn't fit quite the same as the original battery... I put a few
pieces of tape on the opposite side from where the contacts and latch are or
the side where the 2 plastic lock pins are so it would hold it in tighter, add
one piece of tape at a time till it stops doing it... I hope this works for you
like it did for me???

Thunderbird was what I was going to recommend. It will let you keep
multiple independent users and address books. I'm using the Eudora beta
8.0b9 in 10.6.3, which is built on Thunderbird 3.0.1, and it's pretty
darned stable.

A kludge, but it might work. Set up a separate user named Deans

For you or I that'd work just fine...for her...well, it's going to be a LOT
easier to just use Tbird. She's still in the throes of converting to a Mac and
this sort of stuff will just put up more barriers.

She's figured out that she can have separate iCal calendars, but she's used to
TBird already on the PC, and all in all, I think I've been convinced to go that
route...
