here is a link to the VESA standard mounting hole patterns. http://www.mountcenter.com/VESA-Mount-Standards-s/367.htm if your monitor has mounting holes per one of these patterns, you're in good shape. you should be able to find standard wall mount brackets at your favorite big box electronics store. chances are walmart also has them, since they sell flat screen tv's. i bought a simple (non-articulating) bracket for a small tv recently for less than $30 at fry's. ken -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs. Hi, Do you have the Epson printer description for OS9 in your Extensions folder in the OS9 System folder? If not your printer won't appear in the chooser. Then you can open the PS file in OS X with Preview (which converts it on the fly to a PDF) and print it. Play around with the DPU. Poor wireless reception on G4 Aluminum Powerbook
I recently purchased a 12 1.5 Ghz Powerbook on eBay (running OS 10.5.x). The auction description said the Airport Extreme card doesn't seem to be working correctly. Once I received the laptop, I figured out that the problem is really that this powerbook has a very short wireless reception distance - such that when I first powered it on, sitting at my computer desk about 5 feet from the wireless router (linksys) it worked just fine. But when I sat with the laptop on the other side of the same room, about 15 feet from the router, reception was only fair. Take the laptop to the next room, about 25 feet from the router, and you're totally out of luck. So at first I thought the problem must be with the Airport card, so I bought another one - they aren't very expensive. Now I find that the reception problem has not changed at all, so the card can't be the problem. Can anyone tell me what the real problem is? I'm just hoping it's not on the motherboard, because they really are expensive. Well it'll be a pain to fix, but if it's not the airport card, it's the antenna, which has probably somehow come loose and is not longer functioning well. If it is not installed you can install it from the PM 6.5 installation disk either directly from the Adobe Distiller 3.0 folder or by using custom install and just installing Adobe Distiller. Re: .kpx
Thanks Mary, but I went to that site and couldn't get past the page you are showing. There is no working link to go any further. I think that site was just saying I had to go buy Kid Pix software. Re: can't print from os9 classic from g4 mdd
i emailed epson support and they said they are going to include os9 drivers for their new printers, but not develop it for my artisan 50. was there ever a generic epson driver for os9,8,7 etc? maybe that would some how see my epson?? (or am i hoping for too much...?) PM 6.5 will export directly from the file menu (file export Adobe PDF) if Acrobat Distiller is installed. Acrobat Distiller is installed as part of the PM 6.5 default (Easy Install option). If it is not installed you can install it from the PM 6.5 installation disk either directly from the Adobe Distiller 3.0 folder or by using custom install and just installing Adobe Distiller. Short of Distiller there is or used to be a free extensions, one called Acrobat™ PDFwriter 4.05 and another one called AdobePS 8.8.0 which may be still be available from Adobe download site. When one or both are installed they will show up in Chooser as printers. They reside in the OS 9 Extensions folder. I never had to use them to create a PDF from PM 6.5 For a test I just created a PDF from PM 6.5 while in 10.3.9. Classic mode on a G4 Sawtooth. I did not have to use Chooser.
