Go to Finder:Help and type "administrator privileges". On Feb 7, 2:41 pm, lphilen wrote: > How do you access the administrator privileges? You need to check the 'This user can administer this computer' box checked in the Accounts pane. However it will ask for an administrator's password. However, it's VASTLY simpler (since it came with no software) just re-install OSX erasing the disk. I ALWAYS do this for 'new' used computers...starting from a clean slate vastly simplifies any troubleshooting. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs. You need to be an administrator to do those things. If there is an administrator account, try to use it (you probably will need to know the password that goes with it).
