Re: [Audyssey] spoonbil
I had sort of the same thing but I am using a special box that allows me to connect my old hard drives to my new computer. It cost about 40 dollars. So, I had not a chance to cut and paste Humphries games on there. ONe thing he likes is you to get the games from him when possible. Which is the best things as well, you may get the updated version of the games and lastly there still free, free free. So, if you go back to his web site be sure to vote for Euchre! Re: [Audyssey] Your MUD/Internet CRPG Wish List
Chris, that would be great for roleplay intensive muds where combat is, or should be, quite rare. But in pure, or nearly pure hack and slash type muds, that would suck. Good idea for a roleplay intensive mud, though. As far as mobs giving the same amount of exp, I played a mud that was like that, and it was a tad unbalanced, but they overcame that by restricting areas by level, so only levels 1-10 could kill in the newbie areas, only levels 11-20 could kill in their areas, and so on and so forth. I miss that mud, too bad it had to go down. *sigh* -Cary -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Christopher Bartlett Sent: Sunday, June 24, 2007 12:53 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Your MUD/Internet CRPG Wish List Having mobs be worth the same experience and having a constant xp cost to level together would be unbalancing.. the xp award change and a constant level cost would work, or constant xp award and scaling level costs. Re: [Audyssey] Rail Racer server is flying again
You can't play the game? Why not? Have you written me off list about it like I mentioned on here several times? I can't check this list very often, so any tech issues need to come to me, the list isn't the place for them anyway, as 99 percent of the time, the problem is on the user's system and not the code. [Audyssey] popomundo mailing list?
Hi all, Since I'm insistantly logged into popomundo almost every day I've been registered, I'm really getting into it. I was just wondering if anyone will start, or has started a popomundo mailing list to discuss the game? I'm in Che's tribe, but since noone really wants to go there probably due to the VIP issue, we could use the list instead if anyone has a problem. Or wants to ask something about the game or whatever. Regards. ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] Your MUD/Internet CRPG Wish List
Hi guys. Have you tried the mud-game called Two towers? It's a very very great game with many many quests. I'm still a newbie in this game, so I can't tell you so much about it right now. If you have any questions regarding this game, try to ask, and I'll try to answer your questions. You can find the logon informations to the game on: www.mudconnect.com Just search for Two towers and you'll find it. Best regards Søren. Re: [Audyssey] Your MUD/Internet CRPG Wish List
Here is what I want in a mud. The list is really long, so. Here we go. A mud in which levels are endless. No level limit. A mud in which there are many many many quests and not just the standard kill the mob find the item quests that are in most diku/rom/merc muds I mean quests that have a plot, a story, an objective. Quests that challenge the mind. A mud in which you earn experience points not just by hacking and slashing although some of that is ok too, but say you can earn experience for the quests you do, also for maybe getting a job and working at that job successfully, etc. I'd like a more modern-day mud rather than a scifi or fantasy mud. There are way too many scifi and fantasy muds around and hardly any real modern-day muds. The quests would have a modern-day feel to them, not fantasy or scifi quests, etc. So far I haven't been able to find any mud out there like this. There are several muds that have several of the features I want. Matmud AKA Project Bob has endless leveling, but it has a really really high learning curve and unless you're either willing to ignore the more complex features of the game, or are willing to learn them, matmud is kind of annoying in a way. Also once you hit the more higher levels then leveling gets really really slow. I wanta mud that the levels will be endless but the same amount of exp is needed per level, say like 1000 exp per level or something... Also I want the mobs in the mud to give the same amount of exp whether you're a newbie or a level 900 player, though that might be a tad unbalanced, so you could make the areas level restricted, so only newbies levels 1-10 or something could kill in the newbie areas, or solve the newbie quests, or whatever. Anyways, that's basically what I want in a mud. I know it's a really long wishlist and probably will never ever happen, but who knows. -Cary -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Brian St.Claire-King Sent: Saturday, June 23, 2007 2:16 PM To: 'Gamers Discussion list' Subject: [Audyssey] Your MUD/Internet CRPG Wish List If someone were to create the perfect MUD or internet-based computer role playing game for you, what would it be like? Re: [Audyssey] roleplaying games.
well, as I said I've been playing the link based games for a very long while, and I really don't find it a problem. Muds are something I need to investigate it's true, but it seems from what I've heard muds are more based on player interactions than questing and exploration. beware the Grue!
