Re: [Audyssey] Landing the ship in Troopanum 2

2008-10-29 Thread dark

Hi anne.

the ship bonus round is a pest. First, you need to keep hammering the up
arrow so that your ship falls as slowly as possible. when you here the wind
sound to the leftor right, press the arrows while your hammering on the up
arrow. the closer the wind is to the beeping in the center, the better aimed
your ship and the more likely to dock it you'll be.

Hth.

Beware the Grue!

Hi Folks,

Ok, I love the version 2 of Troopanum. But, there is one thing that is
driving me crazy. I have never, ever, been able to land that blasted ship
in the first bonus round, not even at the easy level. Is there a trick or
two I'm missing?

thanks.

For the record, Slipgate was run by the one host from Squidsoft that
everyone else was pretty much pissed off with. I think his name was Josh. He
had a blog up at plumppenguin.com for a while... I have no idea if it's
still there.

They had out of local/comms on star conquest, too. The documentation for
those is even the same. All they really changed was the names of the various
governments. Oh, and added a Miriani planet in sector 15. I could do that
and I can't code.

Miriani and Star conquest are two different games. I know there has been
loads upon loads of confusion about this, so I will point out the
differences. First, however, I will point out the similarities.

The ship system, credits, points, space suits, asteroid hauling, salavaging,

all the same. I'll admit that they hhave cloned this from Star Conquest to
a key, however, without the messages. Even stun weapons probably too,
however, they are named differently.

That, hough, i where the games completely differ. Miriani in any way, shape

or form, with the exceptin of those listed aboe is not starconquest. It is

what is called a sister to it, meaning it's similar, and paralells it, but
it's completely different. From the other activities involved, to the
playerbase, and the hosts, they differ in every way possible. Miriani has
out've local and out've comms, with differences in artifacts, the way
surveying works, recharging, and I could go on. Missions are different
(combat isn't the same, yatta yatta). The hosts of miriani A R E N O T the
star conquest hosts.

Hi.
jfwapi.dll. You can generally find one of these in c:\windows\system32
this makes jaws talk, you also need comaudio.dll, also found there
generally. comaudio is used in miriani6 to play the sounds. If you want to
support window-eyes you need gwspeaks.dll, found on the gwmicro site.
http://gwmicro.com under the support section.

Hi,

I'm a little confused at what your trying to get at.

Are you asking if you modify the soundpack in some way, will the previous
one be deleted? If you use win rar, that should be the case- win rar has a
nifty little extraction function, and if you make an sfx archive you'll be
good. It puts the miriani6 folder in a .exe file, and extracts it to monkey
term, or wherever you want it to go. Quite neat.

Hi,

I recommend gamefaqs, it usually has faqs as good as manuals in there. I
saved a bunch to my c drive, in a folder called faqs. I go for the longest

2008-10-29 Thread Darren Harris
Hi all,

Am trying to find somewhee in the internet that has online versions of
games manuals. I'm buying tons of mega drive games now off ebay and I
was looking for accessible versions of the manuals as some of the games
especially don't come with manuals. Anybody got any ideas?

Re: [Audyssey] miriani question

2008-10-29 Thread Matheus
hi shaun!
it's awreade finished, i'm just including some new weapons and other
things. but the bad thing is: it's not in english, i thinked in
translating it, but the program that i'm using right now is created here
and i can't will translate it deffinately, same if i want.
sad, bekause the game i think that it's cool, i made it in the style of
"counter strike", but only in text, and change some factors, like: the
rooms that you are, go from 1,1 coordinates to 10,10. it's a combat
arena, like hmm, think in a table of chess, each cell is a room, and you
go moving in the rooms until find the enemy, then kill. and wen you kill
someone, you receive money to buy new weapons, and wen you die, you lost
all, and start with the initial money, so it's balanced, don't will have strong
players always.
realy sad. if the peoples here like the idea, i realy will try to
translate it.
