Okay, I'm brand new to the list, and this topic may have been driven into
the ground years ago. But I'm wondering what a few secret keys in Grizzly
Gulch do.
I know that, in the bank, you can hit s, once per visit to the bank. You'll
hear some coins, and your on-hand cash will have been increased by $100.
Out on the street if you will, you can hit F11 and F12 to adjust the gun
fighting speed, and F10 to reset it to 0. F9 cycles something between 0, 1,
and 2. Any idea what this is? Also, F5 causes you to hear a gunshot. Any
idea what that actually does?
Also in the target range, hitting S will toggle between hearing and not
hearing your score after a round ends.
Jayson

[Audyssey] New IRC chat server.

2010-03-04 Thread James Homuth
I've recently put up an internet relay chat server for usage by anyone who
wants to. Can be used for anything from rooms hosted by developers of
various games, to general personal/non-personal chat. The server is
currently administrated by me and one other at the moment, and is pretty
well considered open for business. If you're unfamiliar with IRC, there's
plenty of information on it available online, including several clients that
are either accessible by default or can be made that way. If you are
familiar with IRC and want to drop in, you can find it at chat.the-jdh.com .
It's presently open on all the usual IRC ports. Any questions, feel free to
fire them at me off-list as the actual server is probably going to be
off-topic, even if it is used for discussing gaming related things.

[Audyssey] Winboard chess program

Hi,

looking thru my archives, I came across the following information. I don't
currently play chess, but know there are a few players on list.

The following info was taken from

Winboard 4.4 for JAWS is a free, advanced chess program. It uses any version of
the JAWS screen reader to announce the chess moves and other selected content
to the player. It allows access to Internet chess servers.

[Audyssey] core exiles questions

2010-03-04 Thread shaun everiss
Hi.
I have a couple questions on ce I'd like answered.
1. how do I put say my extracted goods on the player market that are in
storage?
or how do I put the stuff on the gbm there are a load of list boxes.
Today I have just recieved a message that again I ran out of cash in the bank
to pay for storage.
and that brings me to the next question.
Because of various things, and life in general, computers being as they are
etc, my focus has shifted some what.
Ok so the main reason I went on vacation was to wind down a bit from shooting
things and finding where to sell my stuff etc during the holidays.
However after that I seem to be going through the motions.
that is every morning I log in and check game mail and I have no thought of
actually doing anything.
So today I have decided I have to go.
its no use trying to play when I have no intention of doing so.
so how do you delete your game account, forum account etc.
I suppose I could wait for a month or so but I know if I don't do this now I'm
just gona procrastinate some more and then its going to be like another year
or 2 and I'll never do anything bar check my mail.
Lets ace it.
I havn't really earnt enough cash to justify staying in the game.
I havn't really cought up in actual game things, never chatted never done to
much with the guild, and never actually done much in the way of real progress.
heck I don't even have the cash to get everything I want or need, now combat
would be a good thing if I could only get a few more special slots and energy
packs but guess what every thing external needs special slots like buffs and
since I have 2 and they are armour not that this does much, my weapon is ok but
quite blaa.
And i seem to have lost the point somewhere because right now I am a zombie.
wake up, check bogs and podcasts check game mail.
delete game mail without even reading it lately anyway and log off.
its the same with my blog although I still write in there enough to justify
staying there.
The point of this message is enough is enough!!!
If I am not gona blimming do anything then I need to get rid of this thing so
someone else can have a space.
I don't see me actually playing anymore in the future unless that is I somehow
can sell my items in my extracter somehow which are in the comercial store,
mine more and then somehow get another ship, maybe some extra slots, an
expander, energy, more skill points, I have used my reset right now, and maybe
what it takes to get back into shooting things which is where all th real cash
is.
Without having to porn all my stuff off just to get enough to live in the
gamiverse.
As you can see thats a long list and while i accept a bigger ship tank and some
other things are not in my ligue right now the rest, well I think at minimum I
need to get rid of my stuff in storage because its costing me cash.
I can either try to sell it which would be good if I knew how it all worked or
give it away and sell my extracter.
That would get rid of the costs but its not gona have me play the game as such.
so any help would rock.
I don't care where this message goes.
I'll take anything I can get.
though at this point if I could just close the account and go away that would
be fine.

Re: [Audyssey] Entombed

2010-03-04 Thread Thomas Ward
Hello Tristan,
That error can be cause by any number of broken dependency issues.

1. Your .net Framework might be out of date.
2. DirectX is out of date.
3. The XNA Framework is out of date.
4. Your Sapi 5 speech engine is broken.

I'd check the status of each of these components and see if they are
up to date, broken, etc.

Re: [Audyssey] core exiles questions

2010-03-04 Thread Darren Harris
Hi.

Ok what you need to do is the following:

1. send your goods using the commercial store transport facility from your
location to where the gbm is. You'll get a better price on the gbm and also
once you've emptied your goods from any extractors you should move them to
gbm system anyway as it will save you paying per location you only then pay
per product.

2. advertise your goods on the buy/sell forums. In the dropdown where it
shows you the active npc trade combat missions, look for buy sell forum.
Just hit b on that and you'll find it. Go into there and advertise your
products. Note it doesn't quite work properly with ie so use firefox for
this. Actually just use firefox permanently.

3. advertise on chat. That's a good way to get some funds too.

4. sell on the gbm. This is how you do it:

A. move all goods to the gbm planet sg in descart.
B. fly there.
C. dock at planet.
D. go to the npc there.
E. talk to him. Once you've done that it will take you to the gbm. The gbm
is organized in a table. Everything there is for sale you don't buy anything
there. It's all organized in alphabetical and price order. Alphabet first
then if there's a single item with multiple contracts it's then organized by
price. Fill in the correct field then click on sell. You have to do this
each time. A quick way to get back to your place on the table is to copy the
text of the product to the clipboard, then paced it into either your browser
or screen reader find option which ever you prefer to use and it will take
you back there.

Hth.

don't know, bsc games should support 64 bit at least I think they should.
You need to ask each manufacturer.
anything with dotnet and dx9 maybe slim dx and some other things should support
64 bit and other things.
not sure about all things some of the games and at least a the majority of

laptops do have line in.
its usually combined with the mic jack or in most cases the headphone jack.
the only thing though that I suggest is that you get a splitter and plug a
headphone or speaker or something into one of the ports of either an amp or
something for one of the sources, maybe where its coming from or to the
computer so at least you can here what you are recording.
you also need some monitoring like in studio recorder because there is no real
way to get the right volumes as these chips run quite hot audio wise and it
depends.
on my amp I have to turn all my volumes to full to get things working but sr
beeps all over the place and you need to adjust the internal volume, for best
quality.
I have a sub with a preamp but yeah thats all you need.
as in way of usb things that would work but you would then have to switch your
input device to that either for windows or the particular program this may
mangle sound, and especially in laptops where unless you have sight assistance
its almost impossible to reinstall say the sound drivers because you eed to go
to somewhere on the drive or a cd to find them well.
if you want to test this get something thats non critical.
if anything goes wrong, just reformat and the problem will go away.
I must say though i have not had much success with this connection for direct
line in of tapes say.
another option would to get a digital recorder i have a soni ux60.
you do however get outside noise and other things but it may work better for
you rather than fussing round with internal recording though that is much
cleaner.
my recorder has a bit of hiss but its actually better than my first now dead
recorder I got from the same company which is a bit scary since the first
recorder I got was higher quality then the other one.

1. While in the game, and not in a battle, press the letter C.

2. you should be focus on your main character. Use the tab key to cycle between
your main character, your pet, and any other characters.

3. when you find the particular member, the first option is to allocate points.
Press enter on it.

4. use the up and down arrow keys to cycle thru all the available options.

5. When you find the item you wish to increase, press the plus key to increase
it. if you wish to change, press the minus key to decrease it.

6. Arrow down to save changes and press enter.

***Please note. When you press enter on save changes, no allocated points can
be undone. Make sure you have the points where you want them.

7. You will be back at the menu of general information, health status, and

Hello listers,
This is just a friendly message from the moderators regarding the spam

At this moment Raul and I both have added some new security measures
to help safeguard the list from future attacks of this kind. We have
also have handed over evidence regarding this matter to someone who is
fowarding it on to their contact in the FBI. Beyond this we don't know
much more then we did know a couple of days ago, but we have been told

I'd check the status of each of these components and see if they are

aah, thanks.
At 09:04 a.m. 5/03/2010, you wrote:

You have to do this
each time. A quick way to get back to your place on the table is to copy the
text of the product to the clipboard, then paced it into either your browser
or screen reader find option which ever you prefer to use and it will take
you back there.

laptops do have line in.
its usually combined with the mic jack or in most cases the headphone jack.
the only thing though that I suggest is that you get a splitter and plug a
headphone or speaker or something into one of the ports of either an amp or
something for one of the sources, maybe where its coming from or to the
computer so at least you can here what you are recording.
you also need some monitoring like in studio recorder because there is no
real way to get the right volumes as these chips run quite hot audio wise and
it depends.
on my amp I have to turn all my volumes to full to get things working but sr
beeps all over the place and you need to adjust the internal volume, for best
quality.
I have a sub with a preamp but yeah thats all you need.
as in way of usb things that would work but you would then have to switch
your input device to that either for windows or the particular program this
may mangle sound, and especially in laptops where unless you have sight
assistance its almost impossible to reinstall say the sound drivers because
you eed to go to somewhere on the drive or a cd to find them well.
if you want to test this get something thats non critical.
if anything goes wrong, just reformat and the problem will go away.
I must say though i have not had much success with this connection for direct
line in of tapes say.
another option would to get a digital recorder i have a soni ux60.
you do however get outside noise and other things but it may work better for
you rather than fussing round with internal recording though that is much
cleaner.
my recorder has a bit of hiss but its actually better than my first now dead
recorder I got from the same company which is a bit scary since the first
recorder I got was higher quality then the other one.

been looking for a USB device, and I've found this one. Has anyone tried, or
know if the following USB item will work for such purpose? according to the
description, it works for recording from cassette decks, but not sure what
else you could do with it. if anyone has more info, I'd sure appreciate it.

 Hello listers,
This is just a friendly message from the moderators regarding the spam
attacks carried out a couple of nights ago against the mailing list.
At this moment Raul and I both have added some new security measures
to help safeguard the list from future attacks of this kind. We have
also have handed over evidence regarding this matter to someone who is
fowarding it on to their contact in the FBI. Beyond this we don't know

that the FBI is currently investigating these spam attacks. So let's

Re: [Audyssey] star trek final conflict

Hi Josh,
At the moment there are no new public updates for Star Trek Final
Conflict. Although, there is a version 2.0 in the works for release
sometime in the future. Since I've been fairly tied up with MOTA and
my Genesis Engine STFC has been sitting on the back burner for a
while.
As far as an FPS type game I've been thinking of doing one once the
Genesis Engine is ready for actual game production. I'd really like to
do something like Elite Force I or Elite Force II. Both are pretty
cool Star Trek FPS games.

Hi Hayden,
Hmmm...Good question. How about something without a lot of skills like
a simple adventurer class. That way our hacker friend is sure to get
killed by the first goblin warband he/she is unfortunate enough to
meet.

That's all well and good, but what class are you going to give them?

Hi,
I take that back. We won't give them a class. We want them to enter
the dungeon without class, skill, or magic powers. We'll feed him/her
to the Drake as an example of what happens to creeps that spam our
good list. Lol!

Re: [Audyssey] lone wolf mission help!

2010-03-04 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Shaun,
Oh, that mission. Those battleships are indeed something of a menice,
but not indestructable. I suppose I need to get a replacement key for
Lone Wolf so I can take that mission on again just to see if I got the
stuff to do it. It has been a year or two since I've touched Lone
Wolf. I'd say I'm long over do for a big navel engagement on the high
seas.

yeah.
there are no fighters so as long as I can destroy all the other ships ie
battleships then I can shoot out the mines and icebergs and other things with
my gun.
ofcause I can attract the enemy with a mine shot with a torp but if I do that I
get a battleship and a destroyer.
if I then destroy the destroyer I get mostof the fleet on my tail.
so maybe if I do all the destroyers maybe i have a chance though all those
ships.

2010-03-04 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Shaun,
I usually target the destroyers first. First, because they are fast
attack boats, and second they die pretty easy from a couple direct
hits. If you can take out the destroyers then you can deal with the
battleships personally without a bunch of destroyers buzzing around
overhead trying to blow you out of the water.

Re: [Audyssey] lone wolf mission help!

2010-03-04 Thread Ryan Chou
hmmm couple stratigies I thought of
these sort of work, just stay very low so you don't smash into the ship
when you get into C3, shoot the burg directl in front of you, and aim
one at about 8S to destroy the mine
and when you're attacked, move in the opposite direction they're going
example if they're going west, go east/south/north so you can target them safely
