Re: [Audyssey] Alter Aeon Blind Support Web Pages

2012-07-30 Thread Valiant8086

Hi.
Maybe Pocket Mud and TMC Game client should be on this as accessible
clients on the I O S platform as well as the default telnet on the
braille plus, but that's Linux anyway so might be pointless to mention,
although a notice that the telnet client that's part of the Linux
distribution used by the Icon and Braille Plus does work might be in
order. I can provide steps to launch telnet on it, that is if I can get
logged into the console on mine again. I keep forgetting the password.

thanks for the work there, it seems nicer than it was, which was saying
something already.

Re: [Audyssey] how to play poker

2012-07-30 Thread dark

Hi.

www.blindadrenaline.com has a very comprehensive and rather fun online card
room where you can play several poker varients, with detailed instructions
on the game, plus audio tutorials that also present some stratogies. the
money is imaginary, but the game is extremely fun, and with all the
tournaments and other events going on it's deffinitely worth a look.

I'd highly recommend trying them out.

All the best,

Re: [Audyssey] Goalball.

2012-07-30 Thread dark

Hi Michael.

the goal ball one on one game was sold by the uk audio network, found on
http://www.pressakey.net/

They used to have a demo of it on their site, along with their other trivia
games that are run online. To be honest though, it was a really terrible
game, and certainly not worth the 25 usd it cost, sinse all you basically
did was pick a number 1-3, and the computer would pick a number, and there
was a chance of having a goal or save.

I'm actually surprised, given that their trivia games can be quite fun that
they ever even thought people would pay for this, which is probably why they
took it off sale.

You could always mail them and ask, maybe they could put a copy on their
website as they did with their jungle fever trivia game.
To be honest though my personal thought is that the game was never good
enough to bother with even when it was! available, so I'm not going to lose
any sleep about it now.

Beware the grue!

Re: [Audyssey] Alter Aeon Blind Support Web Pages

2012-07-30 Thread Valiant8086

Hi.
My bad. IOS is the operating system the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
use. It's easier to say IOS than list all three items, unless someone
doesn't know what you mean. As for the braille plus, that's a PDA that
has a braille keyboard on it and which talks. It runs on Linux but it
has a shell that makes it look sort of like a phone's interface with
menus that expand to lists of applications and what not. It's one of the
notetakers a lot of blind children get to use in school or that get
used in the workplace though I think things like the iPhone are putting
a dent in that trend anyway, if not as much of one as many people will
say. The Braille Plus I referred to and the Icon are no longer being
produced as of a year or so ago but they still seem to be pretty
popular. In order to play Alter Aeon on one the user has to log onto the
console which is reached by going to the console menu item in the menus
and log in to the console, then they can type telnet alteraeon.com 3010
I do believe and that'll do the trick. It's been a while since i tried
it. If you do mention that as another way to connect, it probably would
do OK just to say that it can be done through the console.

Hi,
Braille plus is a portable note taker for blind individuals, which I believe
is based on linux. Therefore, it has a console with telnet on it, which
works just like a linux telnet program would. By iOS, yes the iPhone, iPad,
and iPod touch are under that umbrella. There are several mud clients for
that platform, most of which work with voice over. The ones I can think of
off the top of my head are pocket mud pro, mud master, The Mud Connector

yeah. i have tested the tmc mud client, and pocket mud pro. i have to

done, as i have seen other apps do it, but its a matter of waiting to
see what he says.
now we just need the sound pack from mush client ported to pocket mud

Re: [Audyssey] Can't connect to road to rage

2012-07-30 Thread Richard Sherman
HI,

Not sure what might have happened. I would remove the game folder, and
re-download the full game and install it again. Some file might have gotten
corrupted. Be sure to set the game options and server info. Also, there is a
new port to try if you wish. The server name is the same,
ghorthalon.no-ip.net, but the port number is 1234. Maybe you can try this
port number first and see if it works.

If it still doesn't work, I would contact ghorthalon directly for
assistance. or post an inquiry to audiogames.net. the link for the thread is

HTH.

helped.
