Re: [Audyssey] Help playing the blind sword's man.

2017-02-27 Thread Chris Wright
Try disabling your internet connection when you open the program for the first
time. I had to do this once because I kept getting a message that the developer
certificate expired. Silly Apple and their trusted developer certificates and
App Store limitations. Anyway, you should be able to run the game normally
after going through this process. I think it saves a file somewhere once the
game loads for the first time verifying that it works. Alternatively, you could
try bringing up the context menu with VO shift M and choose open.

I hope this helps,

Re: [Audyssey] Trouble installing BSC Blast Chamber onto my Windows 10 64-bit machine.

2016-10-25 Thread Chris Wright
Your best bet is to probably run these games under Windows XP using a virtual
machine or a physical computer running XP. These games have not been updated in
years and years. I’m starting to think as we progress forward, there may come a
day when they cease to function at all.

If you really want to try to get them to run under Windows 10, try running the
executables using the command line. I heard that someone was successful doing
that. Press Windows x and look for command prompt admin. When you launch it,
type in a command like “cd c:\Program Files\Blast Chamber” and hit enter. I may
have the path incorrect. Check the file path before attempting this. Once in
that folder, I think you have to tab to the pipe.exe file and hit enter. Again,
I’m not certain if these steps will work as I do not like or use versions of
Windows past XP. I run a virtual copy of Windows XP on my MacBook Air and a
physical copy on my old 2006 Mac mini and I am happy that I can play these old
games with no silly compatibility issues. I still think Windows XP (was and
still is) the best version of Windows Microsoft ever came out with. This will
not change until the day Microsoft finally does the right thing and creates a
talking installer with Narrator. However, I may be dead before that happens.

The pie can run Windows? I didn’t know that. As for Windows XP, I’d be very
surprised if it would run at all. Running any operating system off an SD card
is a bad idea. (I’m looking at the Braille Note Touch) Why doesn’t the pie have
internal storage? Wouldn’t the card be worn out from running Linux all the time?

Hi,

Sadly, there really aren’t a whole lot of games available for Mac. The ones
that come to mind are Blind Swordsman, RS Games, Grail to the Thief, the QC
playroom (if you play it in Safari) and Blind Side. I haven’t yet tried Blind
Side. I think that’s all. The RS client seems to have issues under Sierra. I
can’t get it to download sounds.

Hello,

I’ve been playing the game since July. I’ve played it three or four times at
this point. I can’t wait until the next set of chapters is released. I don’t
regret spending $6 or 7 on time crystals as the debs have done an excellent job
making the game work well with VO.

I’m not entirely sure how this thing is supposed to work. I missed the session
