[Audyssey] Registering VipMud 2

2016-05-17 Thread Jesse Gaona
Hi all,

I am having a bit of trouble registering VipMud2. I downloaded VipMud2
from the link that David posted up to bypass the registration issues
that were previously mentioned, but I cannot seem to register the
product. I previously downloaded VipMud2 on my desktop without issues
and was given the option to submit an order form for VipMud2 to get
the product key, but now when I go to my account to register VipMud2,
I am only given the option to purchase the games except for VipMud2.
Any advice on how I can register VipMud2 without ordering a new key? I
was running VipMud1 and updated to VipMud2. I have both the 4 and 5
digit user numbers. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] Mush-Z output issue

2016-04-29 Thread Jesse Gaona
Hi, not sure what the problem is. Mush-Z runs well on my desktop,
running Windows 10 with JAWS 17, but for some reason I can't figure
out why the incoming text will not be read by JAWS on my laptop. I'm
running Windows 7 with JAWS 17 on my laptop. The text is read when I
switch over to the output window with ctrl + tab and scroll with the
arrows, but it is not read when it is incoming. I have uninstalled and
reinstall, but to no success. I do have the folder in my documents,
but that is where I installed Mush-Z on my desktop. I have also ran
the update, but it says all files are up-to-date. I have checked JAWS
settings as well, but did not find any issues with that either. Hmm...
this has me scratching my head.

Hi Dark,

I am still not to familiar with the mud, but what i can say about it
are some basic things. You have a choice of 9 races and 4 main
classes, and those classes branch into subclasses. It has a pretty
detailed character creation process. You choose 2 out of 6 elemental
spheres, primary and secondary. Elemental include white (holy), black
(dark magic), red (fire), blue (water), green (earth), and yellow
(air) which are, as described in the mud, placed in a 6 pointed star,
and you can only choose an element that is next to your primary
choice. You cannot choose an element that counters your primary
choice. For example, I chose white as my primary, so my choices for my
secondary were yellow or red. elements that counter each other are:
white counters black, red counters blue, and green counters yellow.
Once you have learned a spell from your primary and your secondary,
you can cast a spell from each elemental and combine them to create a
new spell. As i said, my primary is white and secondary is yellow, so
when i begin to cast "holy," and cast "gust" to combine them to create
"sparks". Each elemental spells combination creates different spells.
There is a limit break feature which a special skill that one is able
to perform once the limit meter is full. The limit meter is measured
by percentage and is accessed through the "limit" command. One will
have to set the limit break, and there is 4 levels of limit break. You
can set one limit break at every limit level. Every level has a choice
of which action you want for your skill. In order to set the limit
break, you have to create it first. To create it, you have to name the
limit break, choose which skill you want, create a command for the
action, and set descriptions for yourself (limit char), the victim
(limit vic), and the room (limit room. This is what you, the victim,
and the room will see when performing the limit break. There are
plenty of other features that I have not yet experience with. The web
page has more information: eotmud.com. As for the screen reader
option, I have not had any issues with it, but like I said, haven't
been on the mud long. Hope this helps.

Jesse

Hi Paul,

Another Final Fantasy based MUD and has a screen reader option is End of Time.
I just started playing yesterday, so I can't give any in depth review of it,
but the newbie school is very informative. Site is eotmud.com, port 4000.

My thoughts exactly Dennis. Have been trying to express the same thought
without sounding NFB nazi. Actually, the NFB convention will be hosting a
seminar on accessible gaming this year, but no other information on what the
topics will be was posted on the agenda, so I will wait and see what the

Re: [Audyssey] Programming in Batch.

2013-08-23 Thread Jesse Gaona
Hi Thomas,

That, in my opinion, would be great. I have been reading up on a
couple of languages, and I think I have the gist of it, but having
your wiki or blog with programming examples, or tutorials would be
beneficial to some, or most of us that are trying to program audio
games. For me, honestly, I have never used a computer before I lost my
eye sight. Yes, I was a gamer on XBOX, the Ps systems and NES systems
as well, but now that I have found this mailing list and audio games,
I can enjoy gaming once again. I think I have enjoyed gaming without
my sight more than I did with my sight. Audio is just as great as
graphics, in my opinion. So, if you are willing to put your time and
effort into creating such information for us newbies
"non-programmers,) it would greatly be appreciated. Best of luck, and
hope to see helpful documentation in the near future.

Hi,

I understood what Cara implied, but you, Jacob, just confused the s**t
out of me. I get the basic, but when I try to set formulas, that's
where the problem lays. Which is funny, because I passed both college
algebra with an A, but I just can't understand how to apply it to
gaming. I'm sure it's something simple that I just can't see, but I
will keep on banging my head on the wall. LOL!

Hey, Cara, hope you keep on posting; hopefully I will comprehend your
way of thinking.

I am currently using a trigger file that I downloaded from the Altar

how can I read the MUD’s text without logging on or is that not
possible? Basically, do I have to actively be playing to retrieve the
incoming text from the MUD? Your advice and suggestions will be
greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: [Audyssey] the Iphone cometh

2012-11-10 Thread Jesse Gaona
Hi Dark.
There's actually a game called Zanytouch that deals with the iPhone gestures.
It's similar to the kid's game Bopit. The only downfall is that you will have
to turn off VoiceOver off as soon as the game starts, but the menu is
accessible. The game cost about $2 to $3. There was; however, a free demo that
allowed you to play the first couple of levels. I'm not sure if the demo is
still available though.

Re: [Audyssey] Muds: Re: Alter Aeon advice and suggestions

2012-08-04 Thread Jesse Gaona
Dennis,

I haven't actually played Alter Aeon. I had previously installed GMUD, but was
not able to connect to Alter Aeon. I have just downloaded VIP MUD and going to
install it. Hopefully I won't have any issues. Thank you, and I'll keep you
informed of any issues.

Much appreciative,
Jesse

[Audyssey] Alter Aeon advice and suggestions

2012-07-24 Thread Jesse Gaona
Hi all,

I’m fairly new to the blind gaming world, but have been intrigued by
some of the postings on the Alter Aeon discussion list. I do; however,
have some questions. I have read quite a bit about this game Alter
Aeon, but haven’t the sliest idea of which client is best to run with
the game. I am running Windows 7 home premium with JAWS 13. I have
visited the website, and like I said, “I find it very intriguing.” I
will greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions on which client to
run and installation of such client.

Thanks,
Jesse G.
