Either that or I can make a dropbox public link

Re: [Audyssey] Microsoft Flight simulator and Itsyourplane

2011-09-01 Thread Nick Helms
My tutorial covers FS9. Unfortunetly I don't have the money or time to
obtain a copy of FSX, learn to use the program, and then record a
tutorial. Perhaps someone else would be willing to do it? I'm sorry,
I'd love to but I don't have the time.

access to the FTP server for the persons who want to upload FS9 and FSX
related materials.

Cheers,

Olivier

Nothing against Harron and John, but uploading the entire blind

as I believe I provide contact info at the end of the podcast. If I
didn't include it for the others, email me privately and I can provide

The only file from the BPP that would be bennaficial as a in addition

 radio.
Fortunately now after 4 or 5 speech recognition training sessions, the
system understands 100% of my voice commands. I managed to follow the
various preflight/takeoff checklists, I managed to takeoff and activate
the autopilot, but after that, I don't know exactly what to do
especially if I want to land in another airport.

The ItsyourPlane documentation generally answers my questions, but I
would like to knwo if there are audio tutorial that could help newbies
like me to be familiar with the basic flight procedures.

I've heard of the Blind Pilot Project
 (http://www.blindpilotsproject.blogspot.com/), but the SendSpace links
to the MP3 tutorials that are proposed have expired.

I also watched several videos posted by Robert of the ItsYourPlane
project on Youtube, but they don't focus on the procedures to follow for
 a blind person.

 Could someone help me ?

 Many thanks in advance,

OK update now. I reinstalled the fsx on my vista machine. It is different
and requires at times to use the mouse key to find things but it works fine.
There is no lag and to exit the game you have to hit alt f4. It is not that
hard to figure out for the most part I think it is going to work great. I
will try more and report more later on today or tomorrow However who ever
said it is inaccessible was not correct.

is there any way to avoid putting the cd 4 in all the time during play,
exactly why does this need to be done.
is it to do with registration or is it to do with more files.
if files any way I can get it so I don't need the disk.
any way if I can get it not to use the last disk?

2008-01-29 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Geremy,
The game they are discussing is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.
Unfortunately, since the release of Flight Simulator 2004 and Flight
Simulator X for Vista finding a legal copy of FS 2002 is a pain to find.
You might try Ebay.com. I amanaged to get a copy from my Step Dad who
owned a copy of FS 2002, and gave it away when he upgraded to a newer
version.
In order to use FS 2002 with Jaws or Window Eyes you need to buy a third
party program called FS Navigator which makes some of the flight
features accessible. It is not a cheap investment and unfortunately I
can't play FS 2002 right now since it isn't compatible with Win Vista
which I am running on my old and new laptop computers.

[Audyssey] Microsoft flight simulator 2002 help

2008-01-28 Thread Bo
Hello everyone,
I am kind of new at sending messages to people, but I hope to do better in
the future. I do have a question it is about Microsoft flight simulator 2002.
I have heard from the internet, and by Scott Shades podcasts that you can
perform a simulated flight using FS Navigator along with using some additional
add ons.Mr. Shade has taught me alot on what to do , but he has not completely
shown how to move the aircraft while on the ground, and the takeoff thru
the landing phase. If you have any suggestions or experience that you will
share I would be greatly appreciated. I know that some blind people might think
that it is a waste of time learning how to fly a plane, but I used to be a
pilot in my former sighted life, and if anyone trying this needs any help just
ask, after all those of us without sight have to band together for what we
want. I think that it is a shame that more pc games are not accessible to the
blind gamer. Well thanks for letting me bend your ear for a minute or two.
Take care all and have a nice day.

Hi Bow,

Here's what you've got to do.

1. Make sure your Fly FP box is checked.
2. Make sure your ap box is checked.
3. Check your alt, and I think it's heading. Yes.
4. Check your IAS (indicated airspead).
5. Your plane will start powering up and you'll hear your engines cycling,
speeding up.
6. Hit the control and period I think it is. It's been a while sense I've
done it.
7. Off you go. Just don't turn off autopilot unless you want to ahve a
nifty little crash.

Tootles.

The game is microsoft flight simulator. It's actually a mainstream game.
You've got to use FSnavigator to make it accessible. The website for the
add on is www.fsnavigator.com
I don't know where you can get FS 2k2. Ebay or simmarket.com is a good
starting place.

And Tomb Raider 7: Legends, is if I remember right, its more like a mini
adventure kinda like the trophy system in JD. Its some kind of adventure
dealing with finding lost artifacts. Um, anyway to clear up the info for
that particular game?
The theme song isn't a Tomb Raider favorite tune I personaly liked, and I
hear that the game is a little, um, short.

 Hi Shaun,
Actually, they produced two movies in the Tomb Raider series, but as
expected with the movies they didn't stick 100% to the game series story
line. Though the movies were reasonable for true TR fans.
Throughout the 6 original TR games there is a progressive story going
on, and each game in the series adds to the story. In the first one it
is a bit of an introduction to Lara Croft, and primarily is a treasure
hunting game. The second one is more combat oriented while still
retaining the treasure hunting feel. Number three Lara returns hunting
for a lost medior which has mystical powers. In number four gets really
into the story of Lara Croft, Von Croy, and into Egyptian history and
lore. Number 5, Chronicals, everyone thinks Lara was killed in Egypt and
the game takes on a dream like or reflective quality where you get to
play four different adventures. In number6, Angel of Darkness, Lara
Croft finds Von Croy at his apartment in Paris, but a gang murders him,
and frames Lara Croft for the crime. As you go along you find out it was
all over some valuable paintings which you as lara Croft must find and
recover while bagging the real murderers of Von Croy, and clear your
name. The Anniversary collection game is just a remake of number 1 with
some extra goodies, better graphics, sounds, etc thrown in to make it a
 better game.

I have heard the movie and it was reasonable.

Hi folks,
I was cureious about the Microsoft Flight Simulator plug in so I did a
google search and found the following:
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 Fs Navegator
What it is:
FSNavigator is a fully integrated plug-in for FS2004, FS2002, FS2000, and
FS98. The program is activated with the F9 key. Pressing this key makes
Flight
Simulator change its face to become FSNavigator. At the same time all Flight
Simulator functions continue normally. The Menu and all FS keys remaine
active.
In the alternative display mode FSNavigator is a separate window, that can
be positioned freely anywhere in the Flight Simulator Window. For display of
the world map FSNavigator uses your own Flight Simulator scenery. Addon
scenery which has been added to your scenery library in FS, is also
displayed on
the world map.
PRICE: EUR35.00 (~US$45.00)

FSNavigator Features:
 Integrated Module for FS2004, FS2002, FS2000, FS98
 Navigational Map and Flight Planner
 Flight Management System
Automatically flies flight planned routes and holdings
World-wide Search Find function for Airports and Navigational Aids
 Additional Autopilot for comfortable operation
World-wide current Airway and Intersection Database
 Graphical SID/STAR Editor
SID/STAR direct Up-/Download from dedicated Internet Server
Automatic Routing by Airways and SID/STARs
Flight Simulator compatible Multiplayer client for Internet and Intranet
with display all involved airplanes

http://fsnavigator.com/

Now Phil.
I do not see how this can make the game accessible except for the ability to
use the auto pilot feature.

A flight sim that we now can use? Where is it and where can we down load it
at?
I know of a flight sim at
www.x-flight.com
The program is called x-flight. It will teach you how to fly a plain. To bad
we can't work this out some how via the keyboard. Also to bad there isn't
something out there we can use to learn how to fly the space shuttle.
Please keep me up to date on this.
