Hi Ben, No, sorry it is not. If they purchased an upgrade to Jaws 9 or Openbook 8 or something like that they probably got it as a part of their upgrade from Freedom Scientific. They may have thought it was free, but those voices are commercial voices and I’m not even sure the SAPI 5 versions are available any more. Re: [Audyssey] SAPI and VB Script
Hi John, Well, I'm glad I was able to help. The JNA is a fairly recent Java development that allows you to quickly wrap static Windows libraries, and use them in a Java application. Obviously, the advantages are huge here as it allows you to extend your application beyond the Java JRE and use native Windows libraries directly. On one hand you lose the portibility of Java, but on the other hand it allows you to take advantage of operating specific stuff without having to resort to writing a JNI wrapper. It is one of those things you can hardly do without if writing an application that requires the use of native libraries. yeah, I had it when testing a system and also on mine. it involved at the time switching and merging another working sapi registry from another system and never worked well since. I eventually reformatted the system after I got enough stuff to justify it, and I had some downtime for a controled repair. to bad the disks went walkabout and I had to wait 2 weeks for new disks. But concidering I know more than when I started I won't probably need to reformat for a bit.
