Re: [Audyssey] STFC 1.0 released.
Hi Clive, go to: www.microsoft.com/directx then download the file dxwebsetup.exe and run it. That should resolve most of your DirectX dependancy issues. If it does not contact me off list at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and we will try and find out what is missing on your system. ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] STFC 1.0 released.
the directx version avaible to ms updating software is 2004 or there abouts, you need to go to something like www.softwarepatch.com, click windows link, and you are away, the site is loaded with adds, popups and things, and they have been slack with update descriptions, however I am prepaired to let this addware filled site go, as it gives good reviews, I also think they test all stuff they do before uploading the info for the downloads. Without that site I wouldn't have what I have today its saved my rear loads of times so I don't mind extra junk that comes from it. For the service it prevides I'd even concider donating some cash they are that good. Its one place you can be sure to pick distributables and if you are lucky enough and well if there is time betwene updates you may see powertoys amongst the patches. Memo to self, use noggin! I noticed that the folder where i extracted all the direct x files had vanished, so I did a search. I found a very handy file (in windowszdirect X), called direct X set up. I! am! A fool! Well, at least for a bonus the game is now working. I'm extremely sorry to bother everyone! to everyone else who got the "Stfc has encountered a problem" message, try doing what I did, download direct X, extract the files somewhere, then go into windows\direct X and run the set up exe. Re: [Audyssey] STFC 1.0 released.
Hi. I know I have the latest version of net framework because I downloaded it very recently. Just in case it was Direct X (I have no idea what version of Direct X I have on here), I downloaded the Direct X 9 files from Usa games, the minor problem was that direct X didn't check for my previous install, so I just told it to create a folder in C:\program files\direct X and extract the direct X files there. I'm not sure if this has updated or not, or what to do with tese files to make the update happen, or to check what version of direct x I'm running. any help with any or all of these would be much appreciated, sinse I'm really looking forward to playing Thanks in advance, Beware the Grue! dark. Tom when was the game uploaded, I got my coppy from the downloads folder last night only because I know where it is. I'm afraid I'm also having difficulty getting tthe game working, but in my case windows just says "Stfc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience. I hope the problem can be fixed, sinse I deffinately want to play this game. Sorry about the complaint. Beware the Grue! Hi Tom, Unfortunately, the game doesn't run on my computer. Here's the error I get when launching the game: --- stfc.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services --- Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0x12b8 (4792), Thread id=0x16a0 (5792). Click OK to terminate the application. Click CANCEL to debug the application. --- OK Cancel --- I uninstalled the other STFC version before installing this version and also tried reinstalling this version of the game. I hope you can help me with this problem! Robin. ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] STFC 1.0 released.
Hi Thomas, I just downloaded FC1.0. I have boh .net framework 2.0 and DirectX 9.0C o n my machine. However after I installed the game I found it wouldn't run. It's bizarre, since the test version ran just fine on my LPTO> I got the following error message. STFC.EXE-Common language Runtime Debugging Services Dialogue Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Then it listed a Process ID and a thread ID, both of which seem to be random each time the error occurs. It then said Click OK to terminate. Click Cancel to debug the application. I clicked cancel only to receive the following error. STFC.EXE - No Debugger Found Registered JIT debugger is not available. Is there something else I need on my machine before I can run this version? It ain't pretty when the pretty leaves you with no place to go. J.D.
