Re: [Audyssey] Well, I'll plead, bow and scrape one more time...
aq development has stopped for a while. In fact i unsubbed myself from there because i have no interest in it. Broken pearl installers, the fact shareware quake is not all up and broke and others. Actually compaired to what other stuff like the gma stuff is, and other blind games, aq is rather crappy. If it has any redeeming feature its playable via team net for those that want to do that all day long. I myself never really got into that though I stayed with the game for about 4 years. After all the issues i had heard with it and after the last reformat on the network I chose that my time with aq was at an end. I actually spent cash on the aq game to get the full idsoftware quake packs. I never really managed to play it at all. I've been trying to get either/both Linux and Windows installation routines to work, but they can't find either the Shareware Quake version, which I already have, nor can they find the additional sound files that go with Audio Quake. The links no longer work. I do believe Windows Audio quake somewhat worked, as it tried to start, and said something at me with the Mickeysoft Sam voice. Does anyone have working URLs for the sound additions? It looks like I'm going to have to figure out how to install this guy manually, and pray they come up with an NVDA port. After the install, I just copy the pak*.* files from my other, full installation across to the id1 subdirectory. Also, once it starts. hit ~ key to bring up console, and type in: tut That will start tutorial, and once you close console again with ~ key you can try it out then. Hi Michael, I'm not a very big Audioquake player myself, and unfortunately I'm not sure I have the setup files you need myself any more. I haven't played the game in so long I just lost interest in it. Anyway, the person who could help you most is Cara Quinn who assumed control of the project after the original developers quit the project. I don't know what Cara's plans for Audioquake is but I know she is currently the new project manager.
