Re: [Audyssey] looking for MMORPG games

2015-09-06 Thread Dennis Towne
Dacia,

This is perhaps a bit late, but you may want to give Alter Aeon a try.
It's one of the bigger text-based multiplayer RPG games out there, and
with the Mush-Z soundpack it's also one of the most blind friendly.
The game theme is fantasy, with various kinds of magic, dragons, evil
and good creatures, quests, achievements, equipment upgrades, and lots
more. The main web site can be found at:

know about it so hopefully it'll be fixed. I actually hope it is sinse I use
the search games function often when editing the db myself.

Re: [Audyssey] looking for accessible games for the Iphone

2015-04-15 Thread dark

Well that gives lots of choice.

All of the somethinelse first person action/adventure titles such as
pappasangre and the night jar, not to mention audio defense (though
papasangre 2 has game center achievements they're certainly not necessary to
play), all of the titles from ticonblu such as the inquisitor games, (audio
adventures), the arcade games like sixth sense and zany touch, not to
mention all of the gamebooks from choiceofgames and hosted games (I was just
playing one of those on the train).

Oh, and both star traders elite and king of dragon pass too, indeed if you
love really complex rpgs kodp is not to be missed though be warned it has a
learning curve.

About the only things that are %100 out would be net games like trivia
crack that rely on opponents, mmorpgs like solara or the storm8 games, and
at least some features of the card games like lost cities and the kid
friendly software games, although you could still play these single player
against the computer, and lost cities at least has some fairly challenging
computer opponents to keep you busy.

hth, and sorry this is a summary, as you can tell there is a lot! it really
depends upon the type of thing your interested in, though as has been said
browsing applevis or the audiogames.net db might be helpful.

All the best,

Dark.

please give me a list of games on the iPhone that is simular to Solara?
Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Sorry, but I seem to have deleted or lost the Dos wrestling games I
had. I checked my backup drives this morning and could not find
Piledriver or Wrestling League Manager. You might have to go to Google
or Bing and do a web search for these games as I apparently lost the
zip files for those two games. Perhaps, just perhaps, someone else
here has them?

Cheers!

the lack of sound output as long as I can play games like Piledriver

Hi Josh,

I am running Ubuntu 13.04 using the Espeakup speech driver. It isn't
easy to get up and running but can be done. If you want to use Vinux 4
you could do that. However, that's not going to give you audio in
Dosemu if that is what you are thinking. :D

when my friend jason comes over I got a USB floppy drive coming the
mail. anyway he found his old copies of

carl nipla's any night football
harry hollingsworth's world series baseball
mobius mountain
shoot98
cops98
all registered copies. we're gunna stick the disks in, get all the files
off them put them into folders and try and play those games either in
linux under dosemu or in a windows xp virtual machine so the game's
sounds will play. too bad we can't have a dos screen reader with
software speech running in dosbox emulator under windows7. like asap or
jaws for dos with espeak. that would be excellent.

Hi Lisa

I'll chime in as well about the games. It would probably be easier to
just send a Sendspace link to the list or something similar.

Thanks

Re: [Audyssey] looking for older games

2013-06-03 Thread shaun everiss

well its interesting you should mention this.
I just got a personal mail from frank of eamon deluxe.
he is working on several editers both windows and dos for the eamon project.
one of these is a distro build of debian wisi which he plans to make
accessable for msvpc and vmware opendata format.

So this is interesting.
Now I have only just aggreed to this stuff and have not seen anything
of the code, but essentually the distros would be custom built for
the eamon system.

and other things.
so you are welcome to looky at that thing.

At 07:01 AM 6/4/2013, you wrote:
using speakup? well then guess I'll have to run a vinux4 distro in a
virtual machine? or would it be better to run grml in a virtual
machine with dosemu? but I'm on a laptop. maybe not?

Hi Dark,
Well, I'll check it out. Although, I'm mainly starting to put up the
major titles first. As you say Numcrunch was their first game, and isn't
exactly like Treasure Mania or anything that came afterwards. I always
looked at Numcrunch as a practice game rather than a serious title. So
like you I didn't keep it around on my hard drive either.

Subject: [Audyssey] Looking for Lighttech Games

Hi all,
As many of you know I am working on a free games page, and beginning to
upload all of the free games I have to the USA Games server. However,
apparently I have lost all of the Lighttech Interactive games. When I
checked their web site
www.lighttechinteractive.com
I get a web site unavailable message. Either the domain has expired, the
web server is having problems, whatever I have no way to download any of
their games.
So if nobody would mind could you upload their games to sendspace or
something so I can grab them, and put them on my web site?

Thanks.

Hi,
Great! Thanks for uploading these. Looks like USA Games is going to have
an awesome collection of new and old free games to download. Just in
time for Christmas wouldn't you say?

 Hi all,
If anyone has any of these text games, could they please attach them for
 me, or get in touch.
 1. The World Is Mine
 2. WORLD
 3. Supernova.
 4. Landing Party.
 5. The Path To Fortune.
 6. Time: All Things Come To An End.
 7. Supreme Ruler.
Another question, if there's a blind child who is 8 years old, where can I
find some games for her to learn from and enjoy, not just educational, but
where do I get very easy text stuff, does such thing exist?
 Thanks
 Ari
