I am using this one for IOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pocket-mud-pro/id511678455?mt=8 I will say this is my first attempt at using a MUD client though, so maybe I don't know what I am missing. With that said this one seems to work pretty good and seems fully accessible. Denny On 3/5/15, Devin Prater r.d.t.pra...@gmail.com wrote: Indeed! Re: [Audyssey] any newly discovered browser MMORPG games out there?
Hi Dacia. First, as regards browser games it doesn't matter what computer and speks you have sinse they run through your browser so playing them is just like viewing web pages. Games of course vary, from fantasy to scifi, from games with lots of pvp that is player vs player combat to games with little or none, some have complex quests and adventures, some are simple pick up and play affairs, it's really a major thing. Two places to look are www.audiogaems.net which ahs hopefully detailed pages for many browser mmorpgs (go to the search archive function and select mmorpgs in the dropdown to see a list), and then for several more see the Games to play online page over at www.whitestick.co.uk. Personal favourites include the scifi game Core exiles (though I've not played for a while), Kingdom of Loathing, a commic fantasy rpg, Metroplexity a cyberpunk rpg game, and puppet nightmares, a very complex but rather twisted rpg where you catch and control fantasy creatures called soul puppetts. As regards mmoprgs on your pc, ie, dedicated programs that play online games, the only one I know is the very recently developed scifi game deathmatch new beginning from http://realitygaming.usa.cc/ Swamp has online play but is not really an rpg, it's a high action first person shooter. There are however several particularly accessible mud games. Muds are text games played in real time, the most famous and most well known is Alteraeon (developed by Detin aka Dennis Town who you've seen on this list), Alteraeon is a fantastic game, particularly with the soundpack and dedicated program by Oriol gomez that makes it a full scale audio rpg, find out more on the alteraeon site at http://www.dentinmud.org/alter/ There are however many other good muds with access fixes, again you can search the audiogames.net database by muds to get listings for several notable ones or check the games to play online page at whistick.co.uk. Hth. Beware the grue! Dark. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Darren, Regarding Alter Aeon: You play as a single character, but you can have any number of characters in your account and can share/swap items between them. Players can form clans, group together, own boats, and do a ton of other things. The beginning areas are set up as a fairly linear RPG to get people used to playing the game and learning the commands, but after that it becomes a lot more free form. The game is extremely large, and it's been running for a long time so the game world and mechanics are pretty solid. Indeed! Now all we need is a good enough iOS MUD client, and then I'll be happy. Unless Mudder has been updated since January of this year to include accessibility fixes, it is not a very uselord alternative to desktop clients. I really think we're gonna have to do this outvs, as a blind community. The game is extremely large, and it's been running for a long time so the game world and mechanics are pretty solid.
