I am using this one for IOS:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pocket-mud-pro/id511678455?mt=8

I will say this is my first attempt at using a MUD client though, so
maybe I don't know what I am missing. With that said this one seems
to work pretty good and seems fully accessible.

linear RPG to get people used to playing the game and learning the

 Hi Darren.

I've not been on Cee for a while, and as I said with astro galaxy I
got a little stuck with what to do after finishing the tutorial sinse
various things I tried didn't work out, for example I investigated a
sygnal but wasn't even sure whether it worked or not.

As to other games there are two main ones.

Roboid, which is one of those auto battle games but has a nice story

And Drakor on www.drakor.com which I'm just trying out, which has a
good combat and crafting system but it is a little complex to navigate
 pages of.

To be honest I find myself actually in need of something of a break
from games for a bit. I recently had a great time with Clokmud and
some of the choiceofgames titles, but at the moment even though dRakor
is just my sort of game I find I'm not wishing to devote as much time

Re: [Audyssey] any newly discovered browser MMORPG games out there?

2015-03-05 Thread dark

Hi Dacia.

First, as regards browser games it doesn't matter what computer and speks
you have sinse they run through your browser so playing them is just like
viewing web pages.

Games of course vary, from fantasy to scifi, from games with lots of pvp
that is player vs player combat to games with little or none, some have
complex quests and adventures, some are simple pick up and play affairs,
it's really a major thing.

Two places to look are www.audiogaems.net which ahs hopefully detailed pages
for many browser mmorpgs (go to the search archive function and select
mmorpgs in the dropdown to see a list), and then for several more see the
Games to play online page over at www.whitestick.co.uk.

Personal favourites include the scifi game Core exiles (though I've not
played for a while), Kingdom of Loathing, a commic fantasy rpg, Metroplexity
a cyberpunk rpg game, and puppet nightmares, a very complex but rather
twisted rpg where you catch and control fantasy creatures called soul
puppetts.

As regards mmoprgs on your pc, ie, dedicated programs that play online
games, the only one I know is the very recently developed scifi game
deathmatch new beginning from http://realitygaming.usa.cc/

Swamp has online play but is not really an rpg, it's a high action first
person shooter.

There are however several particularly accessible mud games.
Muds are text games played in real time, the most famous and most well known
is Alteraeon (developed by Detin aka Dennis Town who you've seen on this
list),

Alteraeon is a fantastic game, particularly with the soundpack and dedicated
program by Oriol gomez that makes it a full scale audio rpg, find out more
on the alteraeon site at http://www.dentinmud.org/alter/

There are however many other good muds with access fixes, again you can
search the audiogames.net database by muds to get listings for several
notable ones or check the games to play online page at whistick.co.uk.

Hth.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

Re: [Audyssey] any newly discovered browser MMORPG games out there?

2015-03-05 Thread Dennis Towne
Darren,

Regarding Alter Aeon: You play as a single character, but you can
have any number of characters in your account and can share/swap items
between them. Players can form clans, group together, own boats, and
do a ton of other things. The beginning areas are set up as a fairly
linear RPG to get people used to playing the game and learning the
commands, but after that it becomes a lot more free form. The game is
extremely large, and it's been running for a long time so the game
world and mechanics are pretty solid.

 research

 Hi dark,

Oh astro galaxy works fine. It's just that the distress signals work
on either a first come first serve basis or a timed basis. Other
people can come get them too. ive gone for one over night and not
gotten it in the morning because someone else has got it. so it's working

 Hi Darren.

I've not been on Cee for a while, and as I said with astro galaxy I
got a little stuck with what to do after finishing the tutorial sinse
various things I tried didn't work out, for example I investigated a
sygnal but wasn't even sure whether it worked or not.

As to other games there are two main ones.

Roboid, which is one of those auto battle games but has a nice story
and atmosphere and some very good access fixes from it's developer:
 http://roboid.com/

And Drakor on www.drakor.com which I'm just trying out, which has a
good combat and crafting system but it is a little complex to navigate
 pages of.

To be honest I find myself actually in need of something of a break
from games for a bit. I recently had a great time with Clokmud and
some of the choiceofgames titles, but at the moment even though dRakor
is just my sort of game I find I'm not wishing to devote as much time

Rothfus Kingkiller series nearly impossible to put down for the past
week probably has something to do

 with it as well :D.

I'll probably get back to games soon.

Indeed! Now all we need is a good enough iOS MUD client, and then I'll be
happy. Unless Mudder has been updated since January of this year to include
accessibility fixes, it is not a very uselord alternative to desktop clients. I
really think we're gonna have to do this outvs, as a blind community.

on either a first come first serve basis or a timed basis. Other
people can come get them too. ive gone for one over night and not
gotten it in the morning because someone else has got it. so it's working
as it should.

The game is as much about research as it is about making money or
 anything else.

 there?

I recently had a great time with Clokmud and
some of the choiceofgames titles, but at the moment even though dRakor
is just my sort of game I find I'm not wishing to devote as much time
to gaming, - though the fact that I've literally found Patrick
 Rothfus Kingkiller series

nearly impossible to put down for the past week probably has something
 to do

 with it as well :D.

I'll probably get back to games soon.

 All the best,

 Dark.
There is always more to know, more to see, more to learn. The world is
 vast

and wondrous strange and there are more things benieth the stars than
even the archmaesters of the citadel can dream.

Well am playing lords and knites, a we bit slow when first starting
but a good game never the less. am also playing astro galaxy too but
again that's quite slow at the moment. Mind you I need a few more
ships to speed things along a bit I think.

So am wondering are there any recently discovered mmorpg's out there?
if anybody has checked out ce lately I really don't like what's been
 done to it.
