Hmmm nicholas, it sounds as if something strange is happening with your speakers or headphones. I personally don't have trouble distinguishing the position of the electricity sounds on my sterrio headphones, but had real difficulties with speakers. what I usually do is, when I here the f! sound that means the next slide will be under electricity, I do all the hammering and twisting, then wait until the electricity is in a different position from where my hammering etc came from (I find the direction of the water sound slightly less clear), before making the twist. As far as I can determine, there are five possible electricity positions ranging from far left to far right (though I could well be wrong about this), with a possibility of up to three being active at once. One thing I found very helpful in improving my Pipe skills were Raul gillegos audio walkthroughs for the game (I never knew you could get that much speed out of a hammer!). Unfortunately the page that used to hold them doesn't seem to be up anymore, but maybe you can get them somewhere? (I've downloaded them myself and thus have them on my harddrive, but I have nowhere to upload them and they're certainly too large to E-mail). well hopefully some of this stuff helped anyway, and I'm sure there's a way to here those audio walkthroughs somewhere. Where I always die on an electricity level is when the water is in the centre and the electricity is on either right or left side, so then I don't know when to slide through. Most of the times I manage the electricity levels but its just when the water is in the middle and the electricity is on the right or left that I don't know when it is safe to slide through. And sometimes it also happens on electricity levels that when the electricity is suppose to be in the middle it stays on the right side. If both water and electricity is in the middle then its obvious. Hi, you can get detailed instructions on how to play the electricity levels in the manual, but generally you should just not fit a pipe when the electricity sound comes from the same place as the flowing water. Just wait till the electricity moves to a different spot. You also get a "next slide is under electricity" warning sound which you shall learn in the learn game sounds menu to be able to recognize it. Whe you hear this, you know that you should care about the position of the electricity. It doesn't matter to you if you don't get this sound before fitting a pipe.
