It seems there is some kind of competing base going on here. I regenerated
the site a couple days ago and checked in the whole mess. Then, yesterday,
the autopublish checked in some changes which reverted a lot of that.

For example, in build/site/bylaws.html, my regeneration made the META header
tag specify UTF-8, but then the autopublish reverted it back to ISO-8859-1.

It sounds like the autopublisher is using some old version of Forrest. I'm
working from HEAD. I also have no local modifications or user-specific
configuration/state (since I never had forrest on this box until a few days
ago).

Cheers,

The core developers of the OpenEJB team and I sent in CLA's, but we're

I know that many of the initial committers have already faxed in CLAs.
They're way ahead of you :-)
However, we *do* need to get a STATUS file set up, list the initial

Tetsuya,

The one thing the newsletter needs, I think, is a blurb
about Geronimo. I'm not associated with that project,
otherwise I'd offer to write something.

Perhaps these lines from the Geronimo page in the incubator:

Apache Geronimo is a new effort coordinated by the Apache
Software Foundation to make a J2EE compatible container. Please
read the http://incubator.apache.org/projects/geronimo-proposal.html";>proposal

that started the project in the incubator.

Jeff,

For the xml-site, avalon-site (and I assume jakarta-site?) modules, there
is a cron job that synchronises daedalus with the CVS module contents.
I think this is Sam Ruby's script.
Does anyone know if a similar cron job exists for incubator-site, or does
someone have to do a 'cvs update' in daedalus manually?

Presently we're doing manual cvs updates. Cron job would be cool.

Reading the happenings on jboss-dev and jboss-user, I personally understand
now that it is hard to handle JBoss in that way. I still believe, however,
that there may also be others sharing my initial feelings. Thus I would
suggest to drop a note somewhere. In particular the immediate removal of
CVS access for the Jetty developers is worth noting.

Seven for
the Dwarf-lords in their halls of XML, Nine for the Mortal Men doomed to
Jakarta. You still need One Ring, not to rule them all, but to find
them
and bind them into a comprehensive release that can past the Dark Lord's
TCK.

Subject: [VOTE] create a new [EMAIL PROTECTED] mail list

Wow. There's already been a ton of mail and its not even been 24 hours
of being public yet. I expect the traffic to keep rising, especially
when the sites up etc.

So to avoid drowning out other general-incubator discussions and to
help keep the noise down for folks who only want to keep track of
geronimo I'd like to propose a new geronimo-only mail list be created.

How about

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Here's my +1

(and I notice as I'm about to send, Sander's already +1'd too :)
