No unfortunately not, all values in the F-Table are within the bounding box
and that you are using one grid for all levels, that looks all unsuspicious
to me.

The easiest way it to specify the line thickness in real world unit of

Re: [Geoserver-users] Image mosaic - black background

2014-02-27 Thread Simone Giannecchini
Ciao Nikolaus,
as Daniele pointed out you have the ability to play with two transparency
options:

-1- Input Transparent Color
With this you can turn individual pixel on mosaic granules to transparent
BEFORE mosaicking

-2- Output Transparent Color
When there areas in the mosaic that are not covered by granules you can use
the background values option to set the fill value and then use the output
transparent color to turn
void areas into transparent.

By default background value is 0, hence void areas are black.
Use 00 (black) for OutputTransparentColor to make this transparent.

[Geoserver-users] SLD for zoom-based line length

2014-02-27 Thread Ramzi Oueslati
Hi,

I have a feature store with linestrings (from a shapefile). I changed the
SLD to display an open arrow at one end of the line. I also managed to have
different colors according to an attribute. Very well.

Now I would like to increase the length of the line according to the zoom
level. I know it is possible to have the thickness vary. How about the
length itself ?

Thank you.

Best regards.

[Geoserver-users] Image mosaic - black background

2014-02-27 Thread Nikolaus Pruzsinszky
Hello,
I am working with 2.4.4 on windows.
I have added an image mosaic as a datastore (several dispersed air
pictures, geotiff rgb, big holes in between) and published it as a layer.

I have set the Input Transparent color to 00 and left the Background
values empty and it works very well as long as there is a part of one of
the mosaicked pictures in my extent.

As soon as I pan to a region where there is no picture, all I get is a
black screen.

I have gone through the archive and found some related threads but no
real solution for my problem.

Hi,

Create the REST seed commands and make a scheduled job to run them when you
want. An example request, seeding levels 8-11 of the EPSG:2393 gridset is like
this

curl -x cache.mmm.fi:800 -v -k -u username:password -XPOST -H "Content-type:
application/json" -d
"{'seedRequest':{'name':'GWC_orthophotos','bounds':{'coords':{
'double':['310.0','670.0','320.0','680.0']}},'srs':{'number':2393},'zoomStart':8,'zoomStop':11,'format':'image\/png','type':'seed','threadCount':4}}}"
 "http://localhost:8080/geoserver/gwc/rest/seed/GWC_orthophotos.json";

[Geoserver-users] WMTS Capabilities Customization

2014-02-27 Thread José Carlos Martínez Llario
Hi list,
I can not find in GeoServer adminitration pages the section to customize
the capabilities of a WMTS service.
Im talking about "ServiceIdentification" and "ServiceProvider"
sections. I already did it with the rest of interfaces WMS, WCS, WFS
but coulnt find the procedure in Geoserver to do it with WMTS. Couldnt
find it in Geowebcache either.

By default appears this information:

Web Map Tile Service - GeoWebCache
   OGC WMTS
   1.0.0

http://localhost:8080/geoserver/gwc/service/wmts
   http://localhost:8080/geoserver/gwc/service/wmts"; />

Thanks,
Jose Carlos

Re: [Geoserver-users] Working with tables from two data sources

2014-02-27 Thread Rahkonen Jukka (Tike)
Hi

Andrea probably meant " GeoServer is NOTable to do joins". However, I wonder
if this isn't made exactly for that
http://www.iderc.co.cu/index.php/servicio-tjs/56.html
I can't find it from
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/tree/master/src/community though.

Hello

For some layers, I need to access data in the oracle database and join it
with the spatial data to do the right representation. I'll leave an example:

PostgreSQL -> table "places" (id, name, corp_code, the_geom)

Oracle11 -> table "CORP_PLACES" (code, status)

I have both databases set as datasources and both tables published. But for
the WMS service of "places" I need to style them more or less like this: if
status is 1, then the symbol must be red; if status is blue, then the symbol
must be green.

How can I combine the data from the two different data sources to publish it
together?

GeoServer is now able to do joins from two different data source (yet, if
someone
wants to sponsor it, that would be great), but I believe you can create a
joining
view in Postgresql using the foreign data wrappers:
http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Foreign_data_wrappers

Cheers

Re: [Geoserver-users] problem with configuration

2014-02-27 Thread Marco Ferretti
Ciao Simone,

Good question.
The only answer I can give you is that it was chosen at the time (I wasn't
working here) by a GIS SME for a project ... and that's what we're working
on at the moment.

Thank you! I'll take a look. Yes, if I can connect to Oracle from Postgre
then there would be no problems.

Hi Christian,

thanks for your reply.

We already have something similar in place: we use proxy_ajp instead of
proxy_http; nonetheless I will give a shot to the configuration you
suggested and let you know.

One thing I am not 100% sure got through my previous email is the following
:
1. with our current configuration ( ProxyPass /
ajp://localhost:/geoserver) the server responds correctly to the
applications (aka: *serves maps when called with https*)
2. Had to modify index.html so that the call
window.location.replace("web"); now is window.location.replace("web/"); in
order to have the geoserver GUI respond (still https)
3. Whenever I call https://myserver/web/ and perform a login (insert
username, password & click "login" button) I get redirected to
*http://myserver/geoserver/
* which is never going to reply (reverse proxy
will not forward to https)

I have the feeling that I have to investigate on the form action
"../j_spring_security_check" ... looks like somewhere it is losing the
protocol

Will keep you posted

[Geoserver-users] Working with tables from two data sources

2014-02-27 Thread Guillermo Heras
Hello

I have geoserver 2.4 with the spatial data in a postgresql+postgis database
and some additional alphanumerical data in a corporate oracle 11 database.

For some layers, I need to access data in the oracle database and join it
with the spatial data to do the right representation. I'll leave an example:

PostgreSQL -> table "places" (id, name, corp_code, the_geom)

Oracle11 -> table "CORP_PLACES" (code, status)

I have both databases set as datasources and both tables published. But for
the WMS service of "places" I need to style them more or less like this: if
status is 1, then the symbol must be red; if status is blue, then the symbol
must be green.

How can I combine the data from the two different data sources to publish it
together?

Thank you
