Hi all,

I re-applied once again. Attached is the ticket assignment. RSA key's sent.

Let's see if that's the good one try :)

All the best,

 Thanks Christian,

This thread begun more than six months ago when Nacho resigned as
  coordinator,
after some time of excellent contributions. Then I offered myself to
  assume
that role, and after obtaining its own agreement, I succesfully
  managed to
 maintain galician translation updated.

While waiting for repository access during those last months, Nacho
  helped us
commiting our translations; but when he is not available -like now- we
  can't
proceed because nobody else has writing rights there.

I followed all the instructions and I didn't receive no objections
  with my
work. In case I'll might complete any error or unknown pending task
  you can
just inform me and I'll proceed: as far as I know, the account is
  simply
 waiting for approval by admins.

 Thanks,

you can always upload your translations as bug reports and ping the
list so someone will upload them.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately it does not help because that's
not the case. I'm not trying to just commit a translation, I'm trying to
obtain repository access, once the old coordinator has resigned, beeing he
the only one person who can commit.

I followed all the steps during those six months, with no objections. Could
anyone please tell me how to proceed or who can solve this situation?

I'm sorry you've had to wait. I've double checked now though and I
cannot find any reference to your account application in Mango. It
 appears it does not exist?

Don't worry; there is no problem on waiting: I prefer to spend more time if
that means providing a better contribution to the project.

Given the info you provide, perhaps the optimal option is to reinitialize the
registration/ request process? At least I have practice with that ;-)

Thank you very much for your help!

Oh, while we're at it: why does the last column on the language overview
page on l10n.gnome.org only show translating or translated states?

DL states that after reserving translation automatically. I reserved all the
translations as the first step of the process to obtain SVN access, as I
informed in this list in a previous mail.

Nothing is shown if a translation was uploaded without claiming that
translation first. This has already led to some duplicate work since it was
not obvious someone else had already made a start for a module and uploaded
that to damned-lies, without claiming that module for translation.

Because it is not obvious, the galician localization community was notified
about the freeze both in the public mailing list [1] and in each module
through a message I leave as the coordinator when reserving the translation.
So no risk of dupe work in this case, unless working outside the common
workflow, which is strongly discouraged.

Nothing is shown if a translation was uploaded without claiming that
 translation first.

Do you mean that someone uploaded a translated file with the Write a
comment action?

This has already led to some duplicate work since it was
not obvious someone else had already made a start for a module and uploaded
that to damned-lies, without claiming that module for translation.

Mmmh, if you go to the vertimus page to claim the translation, you'll
see someone has already uploaded a file, won't you?

Hi all,

Three months after my request I didn't receive SVN access or message denying
it. So this is what I plan to do in order to contribute with a full galician
translation of 2.26:

- Freezing translated strings of all modules
- Validating all translated strings
- Uploading validated strings
- Asking for SVN inclussion
- Asking again for SVN access

If there is any objection or concern to this process, please tell me.
