I wish Goanet all the best and hope it continues, for a long time, to provide the Goan Community an environment that allows us to express ourselves. Goanet service Now it seems that Goanet is no longer have services to publish individual birthdays or wedding anniversary remembrance etc, I hope the respected person (Deborah Santamaria)e-mail id [EMAIL PROTECTED] was previously in charge. Thank you Herman for putting names to the team that is responsible for linking Goans together like never before. I raise a glass of the finest scotch to the future of this net and of all Goans wherever they are. You and the volunteers of Goanet need to know that you are doing a fine job and have my personal support. Please let me know in whichever small way I can volunteer to do my part. This weekend I shall be going to the website to make my humble donation. Humble in amount, but not in the spirit in which I give. Count yourselves as pioneers of global communications between Goans. If my dreams of a Museum to the Goan Spirit one day come true (and we need to pursue it as best we can) then you and your team must find a prominent place in the exhibits, else when my turn comes to lose the surly bonds of earth, I shall return to haunt whichever curator is responsible, for the rest of his or her life. While I savor the last sips of the mellow scotch with which I am toasting you, Fred, Viv, Bosco, Daisy, Michelle, Chris and Debby, I shall dare to hope this this forum from creating social capital becomes a catalyst for many good Goan creations to come. I encourage all Goans who visit here to donate whatever they can, both loudly like I do so as to spur others, or silently if that is their way. Dear Goanet, There is a saying in Konkani: "Khal'leleacho denkor ievnk zai" which roughly translated means to belch when one's stomach is full - to be grateful. This message is to express my gratefulness to Goanet for providing me a platform to write from and spread the word on Goa and our mother tongue, Konkani, to Goans across the globe. My special thanks to the Goanet Admin Team for keeping Goanet going all these years. You guys are doing a tremendous job and service to the Goan society. Keep up the good work! I take this opportunity of wishing 'Goanet' Many Happy Returns of the Day and a very Happy 12th Birthday! As Goanet enters its adolescent stage, may it progress by leaps and bounds and make us all feel proud. Remember - 'together we stand, divided we fall.'
