TiddlySpot Documentation missing
Earlier this year, lots of the TW documentation was moved to TiddlySpace, including the mGSD Documentation. I had written an mGSD customization article on the new tiddlyspace site, but now it's gone. Can we figure out where it went or if there is a backup I can restore? The page I originally wrote was the content at http://oldwiki.tiddlywiki.org/wiki/MonkeyGTD/Customization_Guide/Custom_Project_Classifications. In April I found it had been migrated to http://mgsd-docs.tiddlyspace.com/ --> "Custom Project Classifications" (Please tell me there's a way to get a URL directly to a tiddler and I'm just too dumb to figure it out!!!) Anyway. I had more content to add, and I felt it was mis-named. So I edited the article and I reposted the content to a new Tiddler on that same page called "Adding another Project or Action Status", and then I changed the old tiddler to point to the new one. IIRC I changed it a few times over the next few days with no problems. Fast-forward to today, when I was trying to point someone else to that information. Browsing the tiddlyspace page, that tiddler is gone, except in the Missing Tiddlers list. I have no idea why or how. Can anyone help find the updated content or at least explain how it could have gotten lost? Jason -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GTD TiddlyWiki" group. tbGTD on TiddlySpot
Just wanted to put a reminder that tbGTD has not been working on TiddlySpot for a while now. Would be great if you could fix that, Simon. It somehow is mingled with the contents from tiddlywiki.com... which essentially breaks it. Re: Migrating from local file to tiddlyspot?
If you prefer, you can import the other direction -- grab the plugins from the tiddlyspot site and import them into your mGTD. You'll have to carefully check the sidebar stuff to make sure the upload button in your modified old wiki is the same as the one from the tiddlyspot wiki. If you keep backups you can't go wrong :) Cheers ;Daniel On Sun, Feb 22, 2009 at 12:59 AM, acodring wrote: > > I just came back to MGTD after about a year of not really GTD'ing... > Wow. Migrating from local file to tiddlyspot?
I just came back to MGTD after about a year of not really GTD'ing... Wow. MGTD has really moved along. It was highly functional before, now it's getting outrageously good! I've spent some time already setting up projects, actions, etc in a new local file. Now I see Simon is busily adding iphone access features to tiddlyspot.com and I "wanna get me some of that". What's the process to import existing MGTD data tiddlers into a tiddlyspot site? I've done a few searches here, the wiki, tiddlyspot FAQ, but haven't seen something obvious. Here's my best guess - I'm really hoping there's something easier than step 3!: 1. Create new tiddlyspot site 2. Download the new file to local disk 3. Import data from current local file using the import tool and selecting my project/action/tickler/contact tiddlers individually. Don't miss any! 4. Upload my new file back to tiddlyspot site. Thanks! Something for Tiddlyspot/MonkeyGTDers with iPhones
Here's a new feature you can try with your MonkeyGTD on Tiddlyspot. - Go to your controlpanel, ie http://yoursite.tiddlyspot.com/controlpanel(just visiting the page is sufficient, it just refreshes a couple of things) - Grab your iPhone (you can also try it on your computer of course) and navigate to http://yoursite.tiddlyspot.com/nextactions - If you want just a certain realm then put it in the url like this for example: http://yoursite.tiddlyspot.com/nextactions?realm=Personal Before you get too excited, it's just a read-only view of just your next actions per context. But it might be handy if you're out and about and trying to remember that thing you're supposed to be doing. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GTD TiddlyWiki" group. Re: auto-fill login/pass when accessing Tiddlyspot MPTW?
I agree it would be nice. I could make store.cgi detect an authed user and then accept a blank password if there is one. Will give it some thought. Re: auto-fill login/pass when accessing Tiddlyspot MPTW?
based on limited testing [set AuthenticateUser = false in UploadPlugin, broke test wiki, restored from /backup/ (handy, that) ] authentication is done by form post. So it would be necessary I think to make the php upload handler respect HTTP auth. Simon, have you thought about doing something along these lines? --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GTD TiddlyWiki" group. auto-fill login/pass when accessing Tiddlyspot MPTW?
Hi, apologies if this has already been talked about, but I couldn't find anything. Tiddlyspot is an awesome service for TWers, thanks Simon! When I access my personal wiki online from a public terminal, I would like to save directly back to the web rather than to a local file. This requires entering password a second time. I wonder what we could do to remove the requirement for a second password entry. Ideas: * You have already authenticated via http auth with tiddlyspot. Is this the same authentication mechanism used by the upload plugin? If so, maybe it isn't necessary to reauthenticate. Maybe the upload routine should try to upload without authenticating whenever the field is empty, and report any error, rather than refusing. This is all based on the idea that the upload plugin uses http auth, which I haven't checked. * autofill the form somehow. seems like a bad idea I guess. Re: Getting Monkey GTD File Back on to Tiddlyspot
There's a few ways to do it. I think easiest is this: * create your tiddlyspot site. * download it and open the downloaded local (empty) file * in the empty file import your content using backstage import (might require that both tw files are in the same directory) * save and upload On Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 12:39 PM, Chris <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hello, > > When I originally started with mGTD at > http://monkeygtd.tiddlyspot.com/#Download > I chose the Dowload option and have been running it exclusively off my > memory stick. Re: Getting Monkey GTD File Back on to Tiddlyspot
Hi Chris, It's very doable with plugins. Here's some info on my experience: http://groups.google.com/group/GTD-TiddlyWiki/msg/75914032efd7b919 Good luck! Getting Monkey GTD File Back on to Tiddlyspot
Hello, When I originally started with mGTD at http://monkeygtd.tiddlyspot.com/#Download I chose the Dowload option and have been running it exclusively off my memory stick. Now I'd rather have my GTD at Tiddlyspot so it's less susceptible to loss/damage and am wondering if there's a way to upload from the USB file to the mGTD account I just created at Tiddlyspot. The USB version doesn't seem to have the "upload" button like the Tiddlyspot version does. Much thanks for help anyone can offer, Chris --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GTD TiddlyWiki" group.
