That last file is probably what is needed for the HFS device. If you take a
look in the device file, it is probably there and if it isn't, it will need
to be eventually.

Re: [Hardhats-members] Configuring FOIA Vista

2005-03-29 Thread Bhaskar, KS
Ismet --

There should be only one line in the following command:

export gtmroutines="$vista_home/o($vista_home/r)
$vista_source/o($vista_source/r) $gtm_dist"

Please confirm that you don't have multiple lines when you type this in
to the shell.

Also, please send the result of (one line):

ls -l /home/ibk/wkstbackup/ibk/tmp/g

What does /home/ibk/wkstbackup/ibk/tmp/gtmhelp.dmp contain?

What is teh zero length file /home/ibk/wkstbackup/ibk/tmp/hfs.dat?
Probably not germane to the discussion, but curious nevertheless.

Ismet,

Does the file /usr/local/OpenVistA/g/mumps.dat exist?
Are permissions set so that anyone can access it?

That line "This is a" refers to the testing message message that I added
for connecting via CPRS - i.e. the splash screen message.

But we are not requesting a network connection - have no idea why that
is happening. I thoguht it could be related to the network address -
i.e. it was developed with local IP address of 192.168.0.100 and now the

I tried changing the network address but still getting the same error.

Sorry for my incorrect directions.

Also, please send the result of (one line):

The complete statement was something along the lines of "This is a test
server for Vista" that was part of the GUI login screen for CPRS. I
don't recall which file it was that allows for the changes, it might
have been part of the CPRS documents from the HUI site.

I still don't think that your VistA routines are finding the globals

But we are not requesting a network connection - have no idea why that

I tried changing the network address but still getting the same error.

2005-03-29 Thread Nancy Anthracite
You added the splash screen message in Delphi or in the mumps code? If in the
mumps code, you can look at the code in XUP.m and trace it to where it is
coming from. That is the beauty of Open Source! On Tuesday 29 March 2005.

It appears that you are not being offered the Options at D ^XUP like you
should, unless you just didn' show it. If that is the case, the person you
logged in as may not have the proper keys yet.

RE: [Hardhats-members] Configuring FOIA Vista

2005-03-27 Thread Bhaskar, KS
Ismet --

Using OpenVistA SemiVivA FOIA Gold is very simple:

Assuming the file is downloaded as
/Distrib/OpenVistA/OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.tgz
as root, execute:
  cd /usr/local
  tar zxvf /Distrib/OpenVistA/OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.tgz

Assuming your userid is "vista" as the normal user vista, execute:

/usr/local/OpenVistA/vista --install /home/vista/myVistA/OpenVistA

(or other desired location) and reply in the affirmative when you are prompted
about creating directories. Subsequently, to run it, just execute:

/usr/local/OpenVistA/vista --run /home/vista/myVistA/OpenVistA

I look forward to seeing you in Boston. Incidentally, if you can be there on
April 6, it may be worth attending my (no charge) workshop on putting GT.M into
production. Send me e-mail offline if you are interested.

Hi,

I am trying to setup openvista from the following tarball from Sourceforge

OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.tgz

Using the directions from the Worldvista Wiki
http://openforum.worldvista.org/~forum/index.php?title=Installation_How_To_VistA_GT.M_Linux
I have the GTM> prompt but am not sure what documentation to follow for
configuring the rest of the system. I have tried this on both a AMD 64
(Debian sid) and Athlon XP 2000+ (Ubuntu Linux).

I successfully brought up a system using the HUI directions in the past
under a PIV i386 system with Debia (Sid) but now am trying to doing so
this AMD64 laptop - both from a whole new install/configure as well as
trying to migrate the older configured system (with all of the
networking, permissions/access and other details working).

I have all of the Debian IA-32 shared libraries for use on the 64-bit
system, and am assuming that with the GTM prompt I would be able to
load and run my previous environment. However I can't get to an access
prompt, yet I can get the GTM> prompt. (I altered the hostname and IP
address to match the setup on workstation)

I was wondering if there was a configuration document similar to
http://hardhats.org/projects/VistA_Install/Vista_Install.html to use for
GT.M?

We are wondering what access codes are available once one gets beyond
the basic setup and into the Vista install portions.

I plan on attending and am very much looking forward to the conference
in Boston. I am trying to get some of our engineers to attend as
well.(hopefully!)

Thanks very much.

Re: [Hardhats-members] Configuring FOIA Vista

2005-03-26 Thread Nancy Anthracite
The setup of the enviornment of FOIA gold DVD is different than the HUI
project had it set up. I think that Bhaskar has done them all the same way,
and I thin it is that VistA is in /usr/local/OpenVistA - or maybe some other
directory like /usr/local/FOIAGold in this case, and gtm is in /usr/local/gtm
and that vista is a shell script that starts things up. perhaps you can hunt
around the directory structure and check it out. In this case, this is the
VA release and nothing is preconfigured, so you need to make a sysadmin,
etc., by starting at about step 31 in the instructions on the Hardhats web
site. Mark is just a little ahead of you and is posting instructions on the
new wiki site for Open Forum at http://openforum.worldvista.org/~forum/ .
Kevin Toppenberg also has an installation program I am sure he would like you
to test if you would like. See the Hardhats mailing list Archive from about
6 PM yesterday at
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members

If this doesn't get you straightened out, let me know and I will see if I can
help.

GT.M?

We are wondering what access codes are available once one gets beyond
the basic setup and into the Vista install portions.

I plan on attending and am very much looking forward to the conference
in Boston. I am trying to get some of our engineers to attend as
well.(hopefully!)

Thanks very much.
