[H] As always.. New Nero..

You know where.  Some very nice changes in the current one;
especially in Nero Visions, with better support for PSP Memory Stick encoding.

RE: [H] As always.. New Nero..

2005-07-09 Thread Neil Davidson

ok. updated the main Nero app, I'm surprised I'm still
getting a couple of errors in it. I can't save over an existing .nra/nrd file,
it just says it is currently in use.

Also getting an Application error when I close
it:
"The instruction at '0x07111634' referenced memory at
'0x07390df0'. The memory could not be 'read'. Click on OK to terminate the
program"

Is there a market for used Commodore C64 systems? I've had one sitting

Any way to get Nero to stop asking if I want to download
photos whenever I connect my phone to my laptop or stick a memory card in the
reader?

can't find an option to turn it off, really annoying as I
use Picassa

(happened to run the Nero update check this afternoon, just
downloading the last parts right now :)

[H] Recode2 /AnyDVD Problem

2005-07-09 Thread GM

What is causing this problem?

Make Nero image of Movie DVD using AnyDVD(5.2.7.1) and Recode2(current).
Image plays fine using Nero Image drive and PowerDVD, however, when playing
a burned DVD to watch on TV it stops after previews (will not show menu). It
will still play the movie if I hit "play" on the remote but trying to access
menu it "Stop"s

[H] Web authoring software

2005-07-09 Thread Brian Weeden
I am looking to get back into website development after a hiatus of a
few years and was wondering what the good software packages out there
were. Several years ago when I started Hotdog Pro was a favorite of
mine because I loved to hand code. But now I think you really can't
do anything without having some sort or DHTML, if not a fully php/sql
database solution.

My most recent experience is with Macromedia Dreamweaver MX - still
good? I'm not looking at doing anything professionally (not yet) but
need something powerful, flexible, and that will produce good clean
code.

I do not even know what operating system the Commodore runs. If somebody
wants good value in a computer that will run DOS very well, why not invest
in one of the many Windows 95 computers readily available on the Internet at
around $25.00 each? Format the hard drive and install DOS and fly with the
100 MHZ processor and 8 MB of RAM.

[H] W2K and Wireless ?

2005-07-09 Thread FORC5
Just picked up a 802.11g adapter and access point for a customer, set it up
here on XP to check it out but customer is running W2K. How does W2K handle
wireless ?

I had trouble ( conflict ) between the supplied utility and what XP wanted to
do but I removed the supplied utility and all was well. Does W2K support wify
or will I need the utility in W2K ( the supplied utility was kind of crappy I
thought )

Thanks

Because DOS/Win95 doesn't have the same "panache" that an old
Commodore/Apple/Atari 8 bit has.

Besides, the games are better for the old systems. :)
