What kind of "big" whole house filter (DSL) are you talking about?

Google is our friend:

Very similar to what I have:
SPSH70SR1
http://www.hometech.com/techwire/dsl.html#CC-SPSH70SR1

Other types go inside the Telco box: (Certain sizes):

These you have to be very carefull to get the proper one.

Rick,
Hey?! What can I say? It was the first thing that came to mind in the
middle of "nothing else seems to work ATM!" The tin foil will go away in
the am, maybe...LOL!

Yes, I'd like to fix my collection at the NID, but until I dig around in
the crawl space and find where the current phone line ground goes, I can
not yank the old corroded terminal off the house. The NID is "grounded" to
the old terminal block's ground(!) Could not convince the phone guy to
just drive a new ground rod for the NID.

No one mentioned if they did "this"...
I filter the entire house for DSL at the phone company NetWork interface
box outside...

I call it a "whole house" type filter... (It is big.)

I then run unfiltered lines to the DSL modem...
(Most people do that the other way around...)

Re: [H] Kitchen Pics

2007-12-08 Thread DHSinclair

Al,
Yes, I am still working on/against the parallel AC power and cat5e
cables. I am aware of this problem. The best I can do right now is
segregate the two ~2ft. apart. The only other option I have is to run the
AC power line (extension cords, 12ga.) back around the other 3 sides of the
dining room. Did that 2 years ago, but visitors (and me) kept stumbling on
the big cords where they crossed thresholds. Understand the problem. Still
a work in progress. Thanks for the reminder.

Don't understand the missing index.txt file. I checked the zipper before I
attached it. Maybe Eudora is acting goofy again. Good thing I duped the
index in the msg body. :) Nothing worked today.

Best,
Duncan

I would suggest not having the cat5 cables and the utility power cords
running parallel. Best is not near each other.
Second best (and plenty OK) is to cross at right angles.

But not Dish or Direct TV, you can only view unencrypted satellite
broadcasts. While there is a lot of good stuff on those, he's a new
Dish subscriber so I'm betting he's under contract for at least the
next year.

Here is a web site where you can get all your answers to satellite TV.
There are thousands of stations around the world you can view.
Have fun.
