[H] UT3 video responce
I just started playing UT3. I am trying to get my video to be more responsive. I am running a dual Xeon 3.06, 4GB DDR400, and a Sapphire Radeon X1950 PRO 512MB AGP. I have the swap file turned off and I am using a RAM drive for temp. When I am playing the game I never get above 60 percent CPU and I always have lots of RAM available, so it has to be the video card. It started out at 1024 X 768 but even there is seems a little slow and sloppy on response. Is there anything I can set up to pick up the video response. I know it is a older video card but I think it should do better then this. Thanks
[H] XP Pro SP2, power settings systray icon
Hello, I have and have had XP Pro SP2 boxes with a weird bug related to the power settings icon in the systray. Normally, one can pick the power setting scheme by a single left click of the icon in the systray. The issue is, while this works a few times after a fresh boot eventually it no longer functions and I have to double click or right click and modify the scheme that way. If I reboot all is well for awhile. Seems like it only affects XP Pro SP2 and only those not having been updated from SP1. Home doesn't seem affected. Basically fresh install of XP Pro with SP2. I googled and have found issues where it vanishes but that's not the issue here. Has anyone else witnessed this? -- Regards, joeuser - Still looking for the 'any' key...
[H] Laptop problem
Hello, I have a laptop here that when you turn it on, it stays on for about a second, flashes IBM Thinkpad then turns off. Anyone know what could be wrong with it? Thanks Jason

T For the brief second it is on I can feel the air blow out the side so it's not the fan. I tried pulling the battery and plugging it into the wall and the laptop wouldn't power up at all. Jason
Re: [H] Laptop problem
When plugged into the wall is the green plug LED lit? (sounds like its not getting power from the AC adaptor so its trying to use the battery to turn on only its drained too much to fully power the laptop) Eli -Original Message- At 03:11 PM 20/07/2008, Jason Carson wrote: Hello, I have a laptop here that when you turn it on, it stays on for about a second, flashes IBM Thinkpad then turns off. Re: [H] Laptop problem
Power adapter may be bad, or the charging/power circuit inside the laptop is toast.. If it won't run plugged into the wall, that's not good news.
