Re: [H] $1700 Laptop
Finally HP putting out something with a decent video card? Can remember wanting the HDX 20" until I read the video card model. Look at Asus RoG laptops for great video & CPU power, just don't expect any desktop replacement notebook to come light or run long. Never skimp on video in a laptop since you are generally locked into whatever it ships with! Re: [H] $1700 Laptop
Just briefly in stores, would love to have a fully spec'd Envy 15 with the extended flat battery attached when traveling. One thing that is rarely mentioned - there's a tiny touch red led button on the top left of the track pad area - it enables/disables the track pad. Very handy when you are doing a bunch of typing and don't want a stray thumb/palm to brush across the pad, changing window focus. -Original Message- From: hardware-boun...@hardwaregroup.com [mailto:hardware-boun...@hardwaregroup.com] On Behalf Of Anthony Q. Re: [H] Cleaning and purging clutter in XP
Thanks! I'm using Revo Uninstaller which does a pretty good job of cleaning up leftovers. I have a ton of MP3s and wave files that I need to back up, along with a bunch of audio session files. Thing is, moving the session files and wave files will make them unusable because the path changes. The other thing I'm nervous about is uninstalling something vital to running XP. - Original Message - From: "Thane Sherrington" To: Sent: Friday, May 14, 2010 18:06 Subject: Re: [H] Cleaning and purging clutter in XP At 05:32 PM 14/05/2010, Veech wrote: Recently I ran a scan with AVP and saw thatr there were nearly 500,000 files scanned. [H] Any experts on Thunderbird?
Lately I have been having trouble with Mailing Lists. They disappear from from my address book. Then they will re-appear on another day. Are they kept in a special place where they can be checked or reviewed? I thought they were just in an alphabetical place in the list. Can anyone tell me what is going on. How to correct it? PS: I use w2000pro and have a large list. The address book brought up from the tools menu looks a lot different that the one that is beside the window where I write this letter. Here it is alphabetical. The Tools menu one is all over the map and it is hard to find if someone is in there. Can the Tools menu one be made alpha? Sam

I worked for awhile at a location that had similar requirements. They did not use cat5 anywhere in the building--every single network run, to printers, computers, servers, everything was fiber. Tens of thousands of computers on an all fiber network was pretty cool. I don't think the average computer keyboard (eg) had any special shielding, but the building itself did.
