[ha-Safran]: Omission in Convention Information in Newsletter
Dear colleagues, It has come to my attention that the General Information page of the registration form has somehow been omitted from the Convention packet in the recently mailed newsletter. I hope it will be included in the next newsletter but that will be a little late. Meanwhile, the information is available on the Convention page of the AJL web site. We will discuss what should be done to make certain those who are not on Hasafran have that information. Best wishes, Liza Stabler = Elizabeth F. Kineret's Secrets Mini Series for Children
Hello, My name is Noa Roll and I work in Tapuz Shiba Communications in Israel. I would like to interest you in our TV series for children entitled Kineret's Secrets. The series is about a nine year old girl named Kineret, who hasn't said a word since she witnessed her father's death in a horrible car accident several years ago. Kineret decides to unravel the mystery of her father's accident and to discover more about his past. The series creates tension and suspense, and was filmed in Israel's most exotic locations. (Please see the synopsis attached to this message). The series has received The Golden Gate Jury Award in San Francisco in 2000, and also received very favorable critics in the Input Festival in Barcelona 2000. I believe that the series greatly appeals to a young audience, and would be an asset in any library. I would be happy to send preview cassettes of the mini series and give more details regarding the series itself. Please contact Ms. Noa Roll at Shiba Tapuz Communications at the address listed below. Re: re [ha-Safran]: Sephardim
Check: http://www.geocities.com/sefarad1492 Also the Sephardic House in NYC has an excellent resource of information in the internet. Another place to contact is Yeshiva University. Their program on Sephardic studies is one of the best. === Submissions for Ha-Safran, send to: Hasafran at lists.acs.ohio-state.edu SUBscribing, SIGNOFF commands send to: Listproc at lists.acs.ohio-state.edu Questions, problems, complaints, compliments;-) send to: galron.1 at osu.edu AJL HomePage http://www.JewishLibraries.org
[ha-Safran]: cataloguing small seforim collection
My husband and I will be taking on the project of cataloging a private seforim collection, probably no more than 2000 books. Is there a simple classification system we can use? We also might need software to input the book records and possibly set up some kind of lending system (the former being the priority). Please email ideas to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thank you. [ha-Safran]: Video on Rescued Czech Torahs
I received the following request through my Cantor. I would be interested in obtaining a copy of this video myself, if one is to be had anywhere. Our congregation happens to own one of those Czech Torahs. Anybody have any ideas?
