[ha-Safran]: New: Hebrew Tongue Twisters

2003-08-14 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

A new section called Hebrew Tongue Twisters has been added to
My Hebrew Songbook at: http://www.j.co.il

This fun new section will entertain everyone who is
learning Hebrew, as well as native Israelis.

You can view each list of tongue twisters online or print them out
side by side in two columns. English translation pages have been
added to enable those who are learning Hebrew to view and/or print
the English translation along with the Hebrew Tongue Twisters.
If you can repeat each Hebrew Tongue Twister three times fast,
without mistakes, this entitles you to skip one Ulpan class :-)

I also added 10 new word groups (750+ words) to
My Hebrew Dictionary at: http://www.dictionary.co.il

These groups are:
Astrology Signs, Books of the Bible, Countries, Days of the Week,
Elements of the Periodic Table, Employment, Mathematics,
Nature & Environment, Sukkot and Yom Kippur.

What makes this dictionary site so unique is that all Hebrew words
are displayed using graphics, thus one does not need Hebrew fonts.
The site loads quickly and the interface is simple. Anyone interested
in learning new words of this ancient/modern language is invited
to visit.

If you enjoy these free sites, please take a few minutes to visit
the sponsoring ads on the pages. This will allow me to continue
to add new content and features to the sites. Thank You!

Please forward this message to relatives and friends,
so they may benefit from these new educational and
entertaining resources.

Enjoy!

[Ha-Safran] Sukkot on the J Site

Hi Everyone!

Sukkot is the Jewish holiday that commemorates how protective

It also commemorates how the Jews lived in temporary dwellings
during that same time.

[Ha-Safran] Learning Vocabulary Can Be Fun

2003-10-29 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

This week I launched a new educational site that helps you learn
English vocabulary. The site is called:
Learning Vocabulary Can Be Fun

The address is:
http://www.vocabulary.co.il";>
http://www.vocabulary.co.il

Below is a brief description of each educational game on the site.

Word Search Game

This fun, Flash game has over 70 subjects with thousands of
words. Subjects covered include animals, astronomy, basketball,
clothing, computers, countries, furniture, geography, heteronyms,
nature, occupations, palindromes, shapes, shopping, spices, sports,
star trek, travel, vegetables, weather and many more.
There is an easy mode for the kids and a harder mode for teenagers
and adults. Each game is randomly generated. You can even print
out a blank game (and the solution page) for off-line playing.
Remember that looking at the solution page is a last resort :-)

Hangman

By taking your classic Hangman game and creating an
online version connected to a database with over 2,500 words,
I created a game that is fun to play and educational.
If you expect your simple "hang the man by the rope" drawing
then you are in for a surprise. The game is suitable for
both young students with topics like colors, food and games
to adults with topics ranging from the periodic table to world
capitals.

Match Game

Learning new words at a young age is not easy.
This Flash game will make learning English a fun experience.
The game has 3 levels of play and 7 card sets to choose from.
Pictures of the items are show on the screen and you can
hear the words spoken in English. The game is geared to
a young audience but older students that are learning
English as a second language will also benefit from hearing
the words pronounced in the game's learning mode.

The Vocabulary Quiz

Learning vocabulary from a textbook is boring. Learning
vocabulary by playing an interesting and challenging online
quiz is both fun and educational. Simply choose a topic,
level of play (easy versus hard questions) the timer setting
and the fun begins. The quiz randomly selects questions
from a database filled with hundreds of multiple choice
questions. The ever expanding database is filled with questions
that are suitable for grades 6 through 12 and for ESL students.
Students young and old will find the vocabulary quiz entertaining
and educational. Additional topics will be added on an ongoing basis.

The vocabulary site has something for everyone and
feedback is always appreciated.

Please forward this message to other teachers, parents and
students so they may benefit from this new educational site.

Enjoy!

Hi Everyone!

Passover is a Jewish holiday, of Biblical origin, marking the

nation in history, devoted to G-d's will. It celebrates the

[ha-Safran]: New Website: My Hebrew Name

2004-05-18 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

Have you ever wondered what your name is in Hebrew?

"My Hebrew Name" is a new, online, database to lookup, view,
print and save your Hebrew name.

http://www.my-hebrew-name.com

Your Hebrew name is displayed using the Hebrew characters with
nikud (vowels). There is an English transliteration for those who
have not yet mastered the reading of this ancient / modern language.

The database is unique because you do not need Hebrew fonts to
view or print the Hebrew names. All words are displayed using graphics.
Access to the database is free.

Print your Hebrew name and wear it as a name tag to your next
Hebrew / Bible class or meeting.

Please forward this message to relatives and friends,
so they can benefit from this new educational resource.

Have a good day,
Jacob

[ha-Safran]: New Online: Multilingual Hangman (Hebrew - English)

2004-06-24 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

There is a new, online, educational game called:
Multilingual Hangman

The new game is located on the J site at:
http://www.J.co.il";>
http://www.J.co.il

It's the classic Hangman game recreated in an
online Flash version. With a database of hundreds of
words, I built a game that is fun to play and educational.
If you expect your simple "hang the man by the rope" drawing
then you are in for a surprise. There are 50 topics ranging from
Jewish holidays and Shabbat to Israeli cities and Israeli foods.
There are also regular topics like colors, fruit, vegetables,
computers, etc...
The Hebrew part is completely in Hebrew including the main
menu, instructions and messages. The onscreen Hebrew keyboard
and fonts are included inside the Flash game, so you do not need
Hebrew support to play the game. Suitable for all ages, both kids
and adults will find this new game entertaining and educational.

Feedback is welcome!

Please forward this message to relatives and friends so they, and
their children, can benefit from this new educational game.

Enjoy and have a good day,
Jacob Richman

My Hebrew Picture Dictionary is a free, online, resource to
learn Hebrew (or English) words in a fun way. Each word in
the dictionary has an English and Hebrew translation and
transliteration and a photograph of the item. The interface is
simple and both kids and adults will find this educational
website entertaining and useful.

Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome.

Hi Everyone!

This is not "Jewish" oriented, but I thought that many readers
of the list may enjoy this. Shabbat Shalom, Jacob

Interactive Crossword Puzzles is a new, challenging educational
game that I just added to my website:
Learning Vocabulary Can Be Fun
http://www.vocabulary.co.il/index.html

This unique Flash game has 21 topics with over 3,000 words and clues.
Each topic has two levels: one to challenge younger students and
one for older students / adults.
Each time you play the game, the system randomly selects words
from the chosen topic and creates a unique puzzle grid.
The built-in print function allows you to print a puzzle for
playing off-line. Teachers can also print the puzzle already solved,
to use as an answer key.
Both kids and adults will find this new game entertaining
and educational. Feedback is always welcome!

[ha-Safran]: New Israeli Educational Stamps Posted Online

2005-03-15 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

I just scanned and posted on my website the
new Israeli stamps that were recently issued.
I included the stamp itself, the first day cover,
and an English and a Hebrew flyer about the stamp.

Ancient Water Systems in Israel
Hazor, Megiddo, Aqueduct in Caesarea,
Hezekiah's Tunnel in Jerusalem
http://www.jr.co.il/pictures/stamps/index8.html

Animals in the Bible
Ostrich, Brown Bear, Wolf, Nile Crocodile
http://www.jr.co.il/pictures/stamps/index14.html

If you do not see March 15, 2005 on the stamps pages,
hold your control key and press the F5 key to refresh your browser.

When viewing the English / Hebrew flyers,
Windows XP / Explorer 6 will reduce the large image if it does not
fit on your screen. Place your mouse over the picture for 2-3 seconds and a
small box with 4 arrows will appear. Click on the small box and the larger
image will appear.

Next week is Purim and I am currently updating the Purim Humor
page of my site.
http://www.jr.co.il/humor/purim.htm
If you have any new Purim humor or Purim Spiel that I do not
have posted, you are welcome to submit it for posting.

Have a good day,
Jacob

[ha-Safran]: OT: Passover on the J Site and 170 Passover Hotsites

2005-04-03 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

Passover is a Jewish holiday, of Biblical origin, marking the
birth of the Jews as a people and their emergence as a unique
nation in history, devoted to G-d's will. It celebrates the
liberation of the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt
over 3000 years ago, under the leadership of Moses.

This year Passover begins on Saturday night, April 23, 2005.

The J Site - Jewish Education and Entertainment
http://www.j.co.il

has several entertaining features for Passover:

Passover Trivia
In what Hebrew month is Passover celebrated ?
Why do we eat matzah during Passover ?
How old was Moshe's mother when she gave birth to Moshe ?
How long did the Jews' exile in Egypt last ?
Where did the Jews live in Egypt ?
How many days did the plague of blood last ?
What happened to Pharoh's daughter, Batiya, when the
Jewish people left Egypt ?

The above questions are examples from the multiple choice
Flash quiz. There are two levels of questions, two timer settings.
Both kids and adults will find it enjoyable.

Additional Passover resources and games on the J site include:
Free Passover Clipart
The Multilingual Hangman Game (English / Hebrew)
The Multilingual Word Search Game (English / Hebrew / Russian)
My Jewish Coloring Book (online / offline)
Hebrew Passover Songs with Vowels (Nikud)

The J site has something for everyone, but if that is not
enough, I posted on my website 170 links about Passover,
ranging from laws and customs to games and recipes.
Site languages include English, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish,
French, Portugese, Italian and German.
All 170 links have been reviewed / checked this week.
The web address is:
http://www.jr.co.il/hotsites/j-hdaypa.htm

Please forward this message to relatives and friends,
so they can also benefit from these holiday resources.

Enjoy!
Happy Passover,
Jacob

[ha-Safran]: 34 educational websites about Tisha B'Av

2005-08-02 Thread Jacob Richman
Shalom.

Tisha B'Av is the saddest day on the Jewish calendar because
of the incredible series of tragedies which occurred on that
date throughout Jewish History.

Tisha B'Av means "the ninth (day) of the Hebrew month of Av."
Tisha B'Av primarily commemorates the destruction of the first
and second Temples, both of which were destroyed on the ninth
of Av (the first by the Babylonians in 586 B.C.E.; the second
by the Romans in 70 C.E.).
Although this day is primarily meant to commemorate the
destruction of the Temple, it is appropriate to consider on
this day the many other tragedies of the Jewish people, many
of which occurred on this day, most notably the expulsion of
the Jews from Spain in 1492.

This year, the fast begins Saturday night, August 13, 2005
and continues till after sundown on Sunday, August 14, 2005.

I posted on my website links to 34 educational sites that describe
practices, prohibitions, insights and explanations about this
sad day in Jewish history.
All 34 links have been reviewed / checked this week.

http://www.jr.co.il/hotsites/j-hdayav.htm

May we see the rebuilding of the Temple in our days and that
Tisha B'Av becomes a day of celebration.

[ha-Safran]: OT: More olim pictures and why do I post them

2005-08-03 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

Congratulations to the new olim that arrived from the USA
today at Ben Gurion airport.

I posted articles and pictures on my site at:
http://www.jr.co.il/pictures/israel/history/usa-aliyah.htm

If you do not see August 3, 2005 on the top of the web page,
hold the control key and press the F5 key to refresh your browser.
Press the F11 for full screen view.

After viewing a picture, you can press your browser back button
or hold the alt key and press the left arrow key to go back.

Some readers may be asking: Why am I posting so many
pictures of the olim ?

Here are a few reasons why:

1. Each individual person that makes aliyah is changing Jewish
history. One more person living in Eretz Yisrael has the potential
to change the world. These are historical events that I feel are
worth documenting.

2. Each individual picture has the potential to influence a relative
or friend or co-worker to think about following in the olim's
footsteps and making aliyah.

3. The olim, relatives and friends may be able to relive the
excitement when they look at the pictures in a few days, weeks,
months or years.

4. During these hard times in Israel, the pictures of olim arriving
to the country, give a boost to everyones spirit in Israel.
Many people have written me how the pictures make them feel
good and proud of the olim.

5. Aliyah is in!! The numbers are growing!!
Many consider aliyah one of the most important mitzvot.
It should be worth a picture or two.

Special Offer:
Free pictures of your family on the aliyah website if you make aliyah.
Guests meeting olim during these very early morning arrivals may
also participate. This offer is open to the next 8 million olim from
around the world or until I run out of disk space on my web hosting
site :-)
When sending pictures, please note the date of the pictures.
Pictures need to be in jpg format. If the total of all pictures is
over 5 megabytes, please send me an email before sending
the pictures.

May the aliyah from the USA (and the rest of the world) grow and
bring more Jews back to their homeland, Eretz Yisrael.

Have a good day,
Jacob

[ha-Safran]: Sukkot on the J Site and 70 holiday links

2005-10-14 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

Sukkot is the Jewish holiday that commemorates how protective
"Clouds of Glory" surrounded the Jewish people after leaving
Egypt during the forty years of wandering in the desert.
It also commemorates how the Jews lived in temporary dwellings
during that same time.
Sukkot begins Monday evening, October 17 and continues
until Wednesday, October 26th 2005.
(In Israel, ends Tuesday night, October 25th.)

The J Site - Jewish Education and Entertainment
http://www.j.co.il";>
http://www.j.co.il

has several entertaining features to celebrate Sukkot:

Jewish Trivia Quiz: Sukkot

What is the Hebrew date of the first day of Sukkot ?
What is another name for the Sukkot holiday ?
What does Sukkot commemorate ?
What is the minimum area of a Sukkah as defined in the Talmud ?
What is the maximum height of a Sukkah ?
What does the Aramaic word "Ushpizin" mean ?
Who gets called to the Torah reading on Simchat Torah ?

The above questions are examples from the multiple choice
Flash quiz. There are two levels of questions, two timer settings.
Both kids and adults will find it enjoyable.

Additional Sukkot resources and games on the J site include:
Free Sukkot Clipart
The Multilingual Hangman Game (English / Hebrew)
The Multilingual Word Search Game (English / Hebrew / Russian)
My Hebrew Songbook (Hebrew Song Lyrics)
My Jewish Coloring Book (online / offline)

The J site has something for everyone, but if that is not
enough, I posted on my website 70 links about Sukkot,
from laws and customs to games and recipes.
Site languages include English, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish,
French, Portuguese, German and Italian.
All 70 links have been reviewed / checked this week.

[ha-Safran]: New Online: Learn Hebrew Verbs

2006-01-18 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

This week I launched a new website called:
Learn Hebrew Verbs
http://www.hebrew-verbs.co.il

Learn Hebrew verbs is a free, on-line, educational resource
containing 300 Hebrew verbs conjugated in all tenses
(past, present, future, imperative).
The site menu provides selection by one tense or all tenses;
gender or both genders; singular and/or plural.
For your convenience, you can choose a Hebrew or English
menu to navigate the site.

The site is unique because you do not need Hebrew fonts to
display the Hebrew words. All words (including the nikud - vowels)
are displayed using graphics. There are over 10,000 graphic
images in the system.

Both the student and the teacher will find the site easy to use
and very educational. As mentioned, the site is free to all.

Feedback is welcome.

This Jewish mini-holiday is of major importance to our
appreciation of Nature and our relationship to it.

The J Site - Jewish Education and Entertainment

User feedback to the launch of Learn Hebrew Verbs

The English and Hebrew menus have been changed to
include these choices.

Feedback is welcome.

What did the king do when he couldn't sleep ?
What does the word "Esther" mean ?
How many advisors did king Achashverosh have ?

The above questions are examples from the multiple choice

You may have a spelling mistake here. Some bad people
open domains with similar spellings to lure people.
I think the Jewish children site you meant was:
http://www.akhlah.com/
which is still Jewish (I just visited them)
Remove the "h" at the end and you get to the fake site.

[ha-Safran]: Israel Independence Day at the J Site + 105 Hotsites

2006-04-30 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

Israel Independence Day is celebrated on the 5th day of the
Hebrew month of Iyar. This year (5766 / 2006) the 58th birthday
of the establishment of the state of Israel falls on Wednesday,
May 3, 2006.

The J Site - Jewish Education and Entertainment

http://www.j.co.il

has several entertaining features to celebrate Israel's 58th birthday:

Jewish Trivia Quiz: Israel

What is the national emblem of Israel ?
"Pehsek Zeman" and "Egozi" are what type of Israeli foods ?
Who was the first president of Israel ?
What was the 1917 British Balfour Declaration ?
How long is Israel's coastline ?
What is Israel's Internet country code ?
What was "Operation Babylon" ?
Who were the first two countries to recognize Israel ?
What are Amos and Offeq ?
How many lanuages are engraved on Israeli coins used today ?

The above questions are examples from over 200 multiple-choice
questions about Israel that may be randomly selected by the online
quiz. There are two levels of questions, two timer settings.
Both kids and adults will find it enjoyable.

The Israel Geography Game
This Flash game will help you learn about the history and geography
of 101 locations in Israel. There is a learning mode and game mode.
Find out if you know more about Israel then Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv and
Haifa.

Israel Clipart (including new ones added this month)
Whether you need a picture for your child's class project,
a graphic for your synagogue, Hillel or JCC Independence Day
announcement, the Jewish Clipart Database has the pictures
for you. You can copy, save and print the graphics in
three different sizes.

Israel Word Search Game
Enter the Multilingual Word Search game and choose the
language you would like to play in: English, Hebrew or
Russian. There is an easy mode for the kids and a harder
mode for us big kids. Each game is randomly generated.
Israel topics include:
Jerusalem, Biblical Cities, Kibbutzim, Presidents and Prime
Ministers, Writers, Singers and Israeli Foods.
You can even print out a blank game (and the solution page) for
offline playing.

My Jewish Coloring Book - Israel Pictures
Young kids love to draw and this online coloring book
is made just for them. Three different size "brushes"
and 24 colors to choose from. You can print the completed
color pictures or print black and white outlines to color offline.

My Hebrew Song Book - Over 200 Hebrew songs (with vowels)
for viewing and printing. All songs are in graphic format so you
do not need Hebrew installed to view or print them. Your camp fires
or sing-a-longs will never be the same.

The J site has something for everyone, but if that is not
enough, I posted on my website 105 links about Israel,
ranging from history and tourism to photographs and stamps.
All 105 links have been reviewed / checked this week.

Hi Everyone !

This week I launched a new website called:
Learn Hebrew
http://www.learn-hebrew.co.il

Learn Hebrew is a free, on-line, educational resource
to learn Hebrew words. The flash site incorporates
46 topics, along with over 1,700 Hebrew words and
phrases. Each Hebrew word is presented as an image
with nikud [vowels]. When you click on a word or
phrase you can hear it spoken. The high quality audio
was created in a sound studio.

The site is multilingual. The menus, transliterations and
translations are in four languages: English, French,
Russian and Spanish.

Both the student and the teacher will find the site easy to use
and very educational. As mentioned, the site is free to all.

Feedback is welcome.

Please forward this message to anyone that may be interested
in learning Hebrew. Thank you!

Have a good day,
Jacob

[ha-Safran]: Dutch has been added to Learn Hebrew with audio website

2006-09-20 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

Today I added Dutch (menu, translations and transliterations)
to the Learn Hebrew site at:
http://www.learn-hebrew.co.il

Learn Hebrew is a free, on-line, educational resource
to learn Hebrew words. The flash site incorporates
46 topics, along with over 1,700 Hebrew words and
phrases. Each Hebrew word is presented as an image
with nikud [vowels]. When you click on a word, or
phrase, you can hear it spoken. The high quality audio
was created in a sound studio.

The site is multilingual. The menus, transliterations and
translations are in five languages: English, French,
Russian, Spanish and Dutch.

Both the student and the teacher will find the site easy to use
and very educational. As mentioned, the site is free to all.

Feedback (in English) is welcome.

Please forward this message to others who may be interested
in learning Hebrew. Thank you!

Shana Tova - Have a Good Year,
Jacob

[ha-Safran]: Sukkot on the J Site and 65 holiday links

2006-10-04 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

Sukkot is the Jewish holiday that commemorates how protective
"Clouds of Glory" surrounded the Jewish people after leaving
Egypt during the forty years of wandering in the desert.
It also commemorates how the Jews lived in temporary dwellings
during that same time.
Sukkot begins Friday evening, October 6, 2006.

The J Site - Jewish Education and Entertainment

http://www.j.co.il

has several entertaining features to celebrate Sukkot:

The J site has something for everyone, but if that is not
enough, I posted on my website 65 links about Sukkot,
from laws and customs to games and recipes.
Site languages include English, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish,
French, Portuguese, German and Italian.
All 65 links have been reviewed / checked this week.
The web address is:

Please forward this message to relatives and friends,
so they may benefit from these holiday resources.

Enjoy!
Happy Sukkot!

Hi Everyone!

Chanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, is observed for
eight days, beginning on the evening of the 25th day of
the Hebrew month of Kislev. This year Chanukah starts
at sundown, Friday, December 15, 2006.
Chanukah is a wonderful holiday of renewed dedication,
faith, hope and spiritual light. It's a holiday that says:
"Never lose hope." Chanukah commemorates the victory of a
small band of Maccabees over the pagan Syrian-Greeks who
ruled over Israel.

What type of foods do we specificaly eat on Chanukah ?
What activities are forbidden during Chanukah ?
Are woman obligated to light the menorah ?
How many candles do we need for all of Chanukah ?
Which family was Judah the Maccabee from ?
How many branches did the menorah in the temple have ?

The above questions are examples from the multiple choice

Both kids and adults will find it enjoyable.

Tu B'Shvat (The New Year for Trees) on the J Site and 55

2007-02-05 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

Tu B'Shvat, the New Year for Trees, falls on the 15th of the
Hebrew month of Shvat, February 3 this year (5767 / 2007).
This Jewish mini-holiday is of major importance to our
appreciation of Nature and our relationship to it.
It is customary to plant trees and partake of the fruits of
the land of Israel to mark the occasion. This year Tu B'Shvat
falls on Shabbat - therefore many of the holiday activities this
year will take place on Thursday, February 1.

The J Site - Jewish Education and Entertainment
http://www.j.co.il

has several entertaining features to celebrate Tu B'Shvat:

Jewish Trivia Quiz: Tu B'Shvat

Which fruit is used to make wine ?
When did Kabbalists originate the Tu B'shvat Seder ?
How many glasses of wine are drunk at the Tu B'Shvat seder ?
What branch of a tree did the dove bring back after the flood ?
How many days does the Hebrew month of Shvat have ?
What is associated with both Chanukah and Tu B'Shvat ?
In Israel, what happens to trees starting on the 15th of Shvat ?
Since 1901, how many trees has the Jewish National Fund
planted in Israel ?
According to the Torah, which fruits did the spies bring to the
children of Israel in the wilderness ?

The above questions are examples from the multiple choice
Flash quiz. There are two levels of questions, two timer settings.
Both kids and adults will find it enjoyable.

Tu B'Shvat Clipart
Whether you need a picture for your child's class project,
a graphic for your synagogue, Hillel or JCC Tu B'Shvat
announcement, the Jewish Clipart Database has the pictures
for you. You can copy, save and print the graphics in
three different sizes.

Multilingual Word Search Game: Tu B'Shvat
Enter the Multilingual Word Search game and choose the
language you would like to play in: English, Hebrew or
Russian. There is an easy mode for the kids and a harder
mode for us big kids. Each game is randomly generated.
You can even print out a blank game (and the solution page) for
offline playing.

Multilingual Hangman - Tu B'Shvat
It's the classic Hangman game recreated in an online Flash version.
If you expect your simple "hang the man by the rope" drawing then
you are in for a surprise. The game can be played in English or
Hebrew.

My Hebrew Song Book - Tu B'Shvat Hebrew songs (with vowels)
for viewing and printing. All songs are in graphic format so you
do not need Hebrew installed to view or print them.

The J site has something for everyone, but if that is not
enough, I posted on my website 55 links about Tu B'Shvat,
from history and customs to graphics and recipes.
Site languages include English, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish,
French, Portuguese and German

The above questions are examples from the multiple choice

[ha-Safran]: 186 pictures of the Lag Ba'Omer Parade and Celebration

2007-05-07 Thread Jacob Richman
Hi Everyone!

On Sunday, May 6, there was a Lag Ba'Omer parade / celebration
in Ma'aleh Adumim. The parade started at 16:30 from Kikar Yahalom
and proceeded to the Canion (mall). The celebration, sponsored by
Chabad of Ma'aleh Adumim, included an acrobatics / juggling show.

In addition to taking pictures, I was "volunteered" to participate in
three stunts including the "cut the carrot in the mouth / sword throw"
and a balloon / fire torch stunt. I survived, but next year I will stay
out of volunteer range :-)

I posted 186 pictures of the parade and celebration at:

top of your keyboard for a full page view.
